I would think that would work, you would probably have to secure in a vice before drilling, then make sure any rough/sharp edges were filed off. That is a nice looking toy, I think I'll try making one also!

We have hawks all over here, on Sunday I saw a red tail hawk flying low over head & I could see it had something black & white in it's talons. Well, right behind the hawk was a magpie having a fit & trying to dive bomb the hawk. I am assuming the hawk had snagged the young magpie & the momma bird was doing all she could to save it. Sad, yet very natural. I never take Biscotti out unless he's in a carrier. Things happen so quickly! Thanks for sharing this video.

Amen!! I too am proud to be "that bird crazy woman"! If they don't like how I feel about my parrot ( and various other pets :0 ) , that's too damn bad. I maintain my home & property for their comfort & security, & if some people don't like that they can just Go Away!! I figure in 30 yrs or so I'll be referred to as that crazy old woman with the grey parrot! ( I think that is better than a crazy old cat lady, ha ha - no offense to cat people I also love cats! ) Yes, we are special !

Hi, it is "Vet Wrap". Feed stores carry it, it is for bandaging horse/dog legs. It is very handy as it doesn't have an adhesive but sticks to itself, so it is a breeze to use & comes in a ton of colors!! If you watch the video I posted in the grey room the other day, you will see that Biscotti is in love with his orbit now!

How wonderful the bird found you to help it! Cockatiels are sweethearts, my dad has one that is the love of his life! Hope it's owner is found soon, they must be so worried.

No he doesn't do it all the time, for some reason he had a feather up his butt that night! Tonight he was a sweet cuddle bird. Go figure. That's why we love them so much!!

Here is a video (sorry kinda long) of Biscotti the other evening. He was being a total lunatic! I think he got into some "silly seed" or something. You can hear him saying a couple of his new favorite phrases- " your a rascal" &" fire in the hole!" Mostly just being goofy & dive bombing the camera! ( Don't have your volume to loud!)
