I have 2 dogs, one is an inside dog & 1 is an outside dog. The inside dog is my Rottie Mandy who I have had since a puppy & she will be 9 yrs this month. My grey Biscotti announces when she is standing at the door to go outside "Mandys gotta go pee!" He barks & snores like her, tells her she's a good dog or bad dog depending on his mood & seems very interested in watching her. Mandy ignores all his comments & is basically only interested in "hoovering" up his tossed food! I never let them out together, way to easy for a terrible accident. When Biscotti is out Mandy gets a "kong" and goes to sleep in the bedroom. Annie is the outside dog, I had some people doing work on a fence a couple weeks ago and Annie kept going out into the pasture & barking at them so I went out on the porch or opened the window & yelled to Annie that it was OK, so she wouldn't be worrying about the "intruders". Well, the very next day Biscotti pipes up with a loud "Annie it's ok!! " said in a stern voice, & he is still repeating it! Cracks me up!! Annie is a German Shorthair pheasant hunting dog, so she will never be allowed anywhere near Biscotti! I love hearing how the parrots & dogs interact!

Oh how sweet!! I love it when they are in a chatty mood. So fun to listen to!

Hi Deb, like Dan said- you are not the only one who's grey does this. Biscotti, almost 18 mo., has been doing this for a couple months now. Also like Dan said- not sure if he thinks he's playing or really testing to see how far he can go. I can usually see this coming from his behavior, he kind of crouches down & stares at me then he will launch! I have taken to wearing a baseball cap in the evenings because he will dive bomb my head & sink his talons in whenever the mood strikes him. I try not to make a fuss and just dodge or swish an arm to send him off. It really doesn't seem to be a "mad bird" thing, I really think he is just wanting to stir things up. I hope this will pass, when he finds out I am not going to play that game with him. Romo is behaving pretty normally, sounds like. Hope he tires of that behavior!

Lol, these are so funny!! When my dog Mandy has to go outside she just stands at the door, when I see her I say "Oh, Mandy's gotta go pee!" Well, yup one of Biscotti's favorite phrases now is "Mandy's gotta go pee!" Of course he doesn't just say it when she's standing at the door, so I am always looking to see if Mandy really needs to go out whenever he says it. Also, he has starting switching it up and saying "Mommy's gotta go pee!" Cracked me up the first time he said it, so he keeps throwing that one out too! Gotta love the little buggers!!

AWWW, he is so cute!!! So glad that he is able to begin perching, he looks so sweet. Like luvparrots said, he will probably be using his wings so much that the little footy problem will not be an issue for him at all!! Love his name, also.

These are really cute!! Lucky Kito- looks like she has a really nice play gym area!! I love the one-foot door hang, now there is a unique talent!

Biscotti is very excited about Halloween!! Here is a pic of him all prepared for trick or treating and a pic of his chaperone- "COW DOG" Mandy! Here is a video of him practicing for the big night!! He cracks me up near the end, he lets out a big whoop and then says "Who did that big noise??" Such a nut! What do you think of his "spooky" zebra head costume??? :eek:

I too have purchased baby toys for Biscotti & he usually loves them. I only give them to him when I can supervise. He tires of things quickly, so I just put them away for awhile and then bring them out again in a month or so. Great fun!!

Cute videos!! I like the way he runs along the back of the couch too, very funny! The coughing cracks me up, Biscotti does that too, then he says "mamma's got a cough". LOL.
