  1. Congratulations on you new grey addition!! Hope the transition continues to be uneventful for all. Lucky Gilbert to now be in your loving family!!
  2. Very cute videos of Georgie! He sure is a happy fellow! Thanks for sharing.
  3. Ha,ha too funny! Don't worry Mojo is not the only farting parrot! Biscotti farts regularly & then says "who did that?", to which I reply "Biscotti did you make a stinky?" then he says "PU"!!! Once in awhile he'll switch it up & say "PU!! That was stinky!!" And of course he gets laughs, so I am sure I will have a farting parrot forever!! Gotta love the little smarty pants, their just to smart for their own good!
  4. Very cute! He talks so well, I love the soft voice "are you okay?" Sweet!! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Yeah Sully!! How exciting, he is going to amaze you every day. Enjoy & thanks for sharing this great news!
  6. Very cute video of Ruby! Those were Biscotti's first words also, "what cha doin", he started talking around 7 months old, hasn't stopped since!! You are in for a treat, it is so great to hear them learn new stuff!! Enjoy!!
  7. That is a great video!! Glad you caught that on tape, he is really enjoying that jazz!
  8. Yes, they are wonderful!! Such detail. I love the open mouth, front & side views. I can't get that close to Biscotti- he attacks the camera every time!
  9. No, you are most definitely not alone!! We who are owned by greys are all whacked! And be prepared, as time goes on you will become more & more obsessed with their wonderful, amazing little grey birdy souls. I really have to bite my tounge when I am amongst non-bird people because I just want to tell everyone about this awesome little feathered friend of mine! Well to be honest he can be a complete turd at times, but the good outweighs the little temper tantrums by a ton!!! I too, cannot even imagine my life without my Biscotti. He makes me laugh every single day & I have actually dropped my jaw in amazement many times by his intelligence. I feel so blessed to have him sharing his life with me! So Theresa, you are a very normal grey parront. Isn't it nice to be able to share with people who "get it"?
  10. Thank you for sharing Linus with us, he was one lucky little birdy to spend his life so dearly loved by you.
  11. Try a pair of pliers with the rough grips on the inside teeth, they can get a good hold & give you some leveridge. I have had to use them before! Frustrating!
  12. Ana Grey is just too funny! Thanks for getting a picture of that! Biscotti does that with the light switch in the kitchen- while he is busy switching it on & off he is saying "bad bird, bad bad bird", and an occasional "dark!" They are just too smart for their own good. I hope Biscotti will learn something constructive like pistachio shelling! That is awesome!!
  13. Aww, what a sweet pretty little baby! I remember when I was going to visit Biscotti at his breeders I never wanted to leave, he was so cute & cuddly and just wanted to hang with me the whole time I was there. You are gonna have a lot of fun with that baby!!
  14. Wow!! That's a lot of cool birdy stuff! Hope they have fun, lucky birdys!!
  15. Biscotti has been making up short little songs, I can't quite figure out what he is saying but he is definitely singing!! He just started doing this so I hope he continues & I can figure out the words he is using. It is SO sweet!! When I sing to him, every time there is a small pause he lets out a whoo!, so i guess that is his way of having a duet!
  16. Oh!! How scary, I know your heart must have dropped when you so poor Blue hanging there. Thank you so much for the reminder to be prepared, accidents can happen so quickly. Hope little Blue is back to himself real soon!
  17. Like the others, the bird poop doesn't bother me in the least I just wipe it up, but I know some people totally freak!! Heck, bird poop doesn't even stink!! I have been around large animals all my life ( horses, cattle, big dogs etc..) so I suppose I may have a different perspective on poop, now those animals can make some big-stinky messes!! And just a bit of advice- never stand behind a cow eating green pasture when she coughs!!
  18. Thanks all for watching Biscotti, he actually chats like that on & off all day!! His vocabulary is growing more & more all the time. He is such a joy, I love him so much!
  19. Here is a video clip of Biscotti early in the morning. He really likes words that start with P. So wonderful to share the mornings with such a cheerful fellow!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyPkZUnk2bg
  20. Great pics! The details on Nilahs feathers on the first one are awesome!!
  21. I named Biscotti pretty much for sentimental reasons. My mom was Italian and I always loved the way she said "biscotti", not the americanized way that I say it. She too was an animal lover and always encouraged my passion for all things feathered & furred. She passed away in 2008 so when I got Biscotti in 2009, I decided to name him after the word I missed hearing so much. Oddly, when he says his own name it sounds more like my moms Italian version than my americanized version. I know she would love her "grandfid" very, very much.
  22. There is another magazine Good Bird that is a great magazine, lots of info on training & behavior. I think it is only available as a web subscription now. http://www.goodbirdinc.com/
  23. Merry Christmas to all our grey loving friends!!
  24. That is very cute!! Can't believe he let you put it on!! Thanks for sharing this.
