  1. Welcome. Great advice. Also, what seems like a long 2 months to you, really seems like 2 days to the Grey. I agree, cut down the training sessions and do more fun things - just talking, singing, playing with toys together. Activity where he doesn't have to do anything 'right' to have your attention. Of course, if he interacts with you in a correct manner make sure you praise him well. Looking forward to getting to know him and you better.
  2. Welcome. Can't add much to what has already been said. Mine like their oatmeal with almond milk and cinnamon. Sometimes I add a little fruit too.
  3. Jake is doing so well. Those little pieces of twine - they close so tightly around your heart that at times you can barely breathe from the love.
  4. If tears could help you would have all you need. Sukei is one lucky baby.
  5. Welcome Lori. A new baby is always a wondrous time. Looking forward to getting to know you and your flock. We love pictures.

That is one nice thing about having more than one bird. What one won't eat one of the other usually will. LOL
  7. Welcome Josh. And in the future, Zoey. You mentioned taking your baby with you outdoors. Please get an Aviator harness for her and train her early to accept it. Most Greys, once they know that they will be going outdoors accept the harness as a necessary evil. LOL But, please don't take your bird outdoors without a harness or being in a cage - it is just too dangerous! Can you tell what my soapbox is this week?? LOL I just have seen so many pictures of babies without any protection lately and my stomach turns knowing what could happen. Her cage should be the largest you can afford and have room for. Some people also have a smaller cage for sleeping. This could also be her first cage as when she comes home a small cage might help her fell secure and it will cut the 'falls' down too. Some babies don't climb well yet. Please ask any questions you or your wife might have - someone here will most likely have had a similar problem. Welcome again.
  8. Welcome. You have been given good advice. I will only, once again, emphasize that patience is what you need. As an older bird, it will take time to get anywhere with him. A month to us is more like a day to them. So, know that each little step is great! Thank you so much for giving this baby a home. Please keep us posted.
  9. Welcome! If you need answers, you first need to ask the questions! LOL Although if you read through some posts on here, you will learn a lot without having to post questions. We would love some pictures of your baby.
  10. Welcome!! He is one handsome young man. I am so glad he found his forever home. We would love to hear more about him.
  11. Welcome. How did you manage to get a dorm room large enough for that cage! LOL Hero is so cute. Very loved young man!
  12. I do let my TAG sit on my shoulder, though he prefers my head.
  13. I guess in this case the Mommy will pay for the child's misbehavior. LOL Sorry about the near miss.
  14. I have a question. How do you tell which wing the feather came from? Most of Peanut's are found later - I don't see where they came from.
  15. LOL I did finally try the pancake. I tried it with a few very small pieces of green pepper - they both ate the egg part and spit out each and every green pepper - BRAT BIRDS!!
  16. That is too cute Sterling. I love it!! Peanut does the head bob thing, but only when I sing 'our' song to him. Each of my birds have their own song - and I had better sing all three or I hear about it! I also know he is happy when he gives me kisses - either that or he wants a nut!
  17. Welcome. Zeke sounds like a doll and one lucky doll too. Just out of noisiness, do you remember what forum you belonged to eight years ago?
  18. Nancy, with grilled chicken, shrimp, veggies - why would it be bad for Sophie to eat with you? Can I??
  19. Way too jealous to be looking forward to seeing your project as it progresses!! LOL One lucky Greycie!!
  20. Ahh 'the chosen one' what an honor! Until the Grey decides it is time to change! LOL As others have said, you may never be 'the chosen one' but you can be the 'this one is OK' one until the chosen one comes into the room. Patience and a lot of work - but it will be well worth it!!
  21. Welcome Chris/wife and Mama Mia. We hate pictures so don't bother! LOL Looking forward to hearing more about your babies.
  22. Such a great day for the both of you!!
  23. Very nice looking Grey. Very pensive look on that face. Small steps are great steps!
  24. I think lemon or orange would be fine. I use lemon a lot in my cleaning solutions. You are doing wonderfully in finding out what a parrot needs, I applaud you.
