mommy bought me a wooden puzzle she put it ontop of my cage and all those lil 8 pieces with the lil handles make LOTTA loud noises when i flip them over the side then look down at the floor. wont she be so suprised when she sees that I have redesigned the shape of most of the pieces when she tries to put the puzzle together again :D

Marcos is just starting to get her words going, she does ALOT of what I call "mumbling" right now which is cute as can be and then every now and again you just hear something clear as a bell ... like the other night I LOVE YOU came out and just melted my heart, but could she do it again? .... no not yet. Some days are way more vocal then others, most days is just the whistles and sounds still and god help me she barks like my 1.8pound minpin :rolleyes: so she'll learn "no bark" cuz I just hate that lol. I havent noticed her talking more or less when Im in or out of the room I know she does ALOT more calling sounds when Im out of the room. Im sure shes tryin to make sure Im still round once she cant see me (if i dont bring her in the room with me) Its really exciting to watch all this slowly changing each day! shes even getting more strong and couragious with hanging upside down and she LOVES to make her swing rock back n forth in the cage!

Marco also doesnt strongly object to showers. I rarely SOAK soak her, lotta times its just playing in the midst and she likes that and likes to nip at the mister head. I take her in the shower with me and let her sit atop the curtain rod but shes taken to eating my shower curtain :rolleyes: but she dont mind the water it seems

Marco always has a foot pulled up when shes napping or sleeping or just resting top of her cage on her perch or on her night perch ... I just figured it was a relaxed thing for her ...

Dude .... I have to say I totally agree that the opinions expressed here are JUST THAT. But they are to a degree (more then you or myself) very experienced and knowledgeable opinions from long time bird owners and breeders alike. You can take it for what its worth. I would totally trust and heed their advice! Isnt that why you came here in the first place?!? No one can tell you what to do bottom line but, dont think about your own selfish wants and consider the animal you would be getting and what you could possible do to harm it! There is no need for word slinging here no ones gonna be able to stop you one way or the other ... but in my honest opinion, it would be an impossible situation to attempt to change a wild animal to that degree, and you should get a cat like I said earlier! They sleep all day long regardless of light or dark!

peeks in ... hey ya'll I been gone while I had some company over .... someone who kept coming to my cage saying HI MARCO IM YOUR GRANDMOTHER! She stayed round for like a week and now shes gone as fast as she came. They keep telling me not to worry shes coming back in October. But I didnt really interact with her I just watched her from above. I promised mommy I wouldnt fly while Granny was in the house. We didnt want granny falling or screaming ... screaming is my job Moms been feeding me super yummy jalapenos fresh from her garden .... ya'll should come over we'll have a jalpeno popper party

well I guess we just didnt think they were as suseptible to the toxin like parrots and really he didnt do it on purpose they had been in his house for 7 weeks maturing enough to go outside in the pen it was just a tragic accident but it DEFINATELY made me SO aware of just how easily it can kill your pets, parrots and birds alike I couldnt get rid of my george foreman grill but NOW i just use it outside lol I agree I spent so much money and time with getting marco, if something happened to her that I could of prevented I would never forgive myself! yeahhhhhhhhhhhh coco! That is so funny cuz I have a brand new set of Paula Deen's I had to give up as well to my son, and went stainless steel. I didnt change marco's name when I found out she was a girl lol I had been calling her marco for 11 weeks prior so ... you can still call ur babygirl casper if you wanted!

i think that is a special thing with the birds Marco is independant I let her play lots on her own and if she sees me leave the room, the whistles start and if I dont respond shes flying round to find me

Marco realllllly likes them scratches right before bedtime and she will hold her head down for 30 min lol as long as Im scratching maybe its just cuz shes too worn out to fight me off LMAO ... but that is the BEST time I get lovings from her!

I know rite? well they were chickens and they were almost ready to go outside ... but yes a bird is a bird and he surely didnt do it on purpose but it was tragic and horrible
