Well this is my pumpkin color I bought Marco a pumpkin yesterday at the store <grins all big> Has anyone else ever done the pumpkin thing with their grey? I thought Id take it and her outside and lay it on some newspaper and cut the top of it off and see what she thinks of that. Course I will have washed it before I start. Do I treat it like a sweet potato? Bake it til its soft? Is it ok for her to just sit and nibble on skin and all fresh and raw? Can I freeze part of it?

I say the same thing ... My kids are always telling her to hush up but I dont even hear it unless its the god awful scream that she does when slamming her bell round her cage LOL. everyone hears THAT! I watch her sit atop her cage with her eyes half mast just chirping away happily making all sorta sounds! I love that

nothing is cute'er then when they get all excited cuz they know what you are giving them!! marco gets that way for a cracker :D

lol sounds like exactly what my loving children do .. thats Ok i keep telling them, piss her off s'more where do you think shes gonna go when I die? :rolleyes: then they are like oh :eek:

My husband refuses to give up trying which I totally think helps and Marco has just resigned to the fact that he aint going away LMAO :D however .... she does NOT like my boys, but then again they dont try to talk to her or spend any time learning her so she just wants to bite bite bite them they dont feed or touch her and rarely talk to her

awwwww :D that is such a great update! Marco is at the mumbling stage right now and me like a dork will hear her attempt to say something and then go ... "What?" :rolleyes: like shes gonna repeat it lololol DUH me! But when she talks or says something we just go with what it sounds closest too, I cant wait til I have that moment like you just had She'll be a year in December so I still have some time to go

I wish I knew!!!! She just cocks her head to the side and just intently pays attention listening I just love it. I giggle watching her and she doesnt move anything but her head the entire time she just stands there on my hand or the corner of my desk.

Marco isnt sure when I do peekaboo with her LOL ... she looks at me like Ive lost my mind! BUT .. the older she gets the stronger and definately MORE daring she's getting tryin to grab the curtains from atop her cage and climb them :mad: so I have to make sure I position the cage just right where she cant reach that or the shelf or the shadow box on the wall behind her cage lol which shes tried numerous times to open the lil doors on it !!!!!! Course I convince myself moving the cage will keep her off of things and completely forget IF she really wanted on there she'd just FLY !!! :rolleyes: but even she hasnt gotten THAT brave yet. Shes just started to fly from my hand when I walk her to the boing I'll get just a few ft away and she'll fly the rest of the way so that is cool that shes mastered landing on that!

Wanna know something? I let Marco watch Biscotti's videos :D:D:D and she totally sits there and looks like shes watching but at the very least LISTENING intently to Biscotti ... its funny I should video THAT!!!!

Do Greys see well in the dark ?!? Anyone know? I caught Marco out once ... she was atop her playtop perched up there in the dark I freaked out too ... not sure how she got out or if someone forgot to put her up but I make sure that doesnt happen anymore!!!

I think Marco is ok as long as she can hear/see me and shes content to stay wherever shes at but when shes "in the mood" she'll definately fly to where Im at. I dont mind as long as Im not cooking but shes still young yet so hopefully she'll keep this behaviour up

Isnt it just amazing giving them a wing like that?!? Marco's had 1 just 1 since being home and I was blown away by the damage she happily did to that bone!

Marco likes them all it doesnt seem to matter now that her beak is getting stronger shes biting thru plastic, paper and wood all the same!
