Smiles ty so much for responding .... I dont mean to criticize the way other people raise/feed their pets. I just was leary when he said that he put "vitamins" in his seed mix that he sold. I knew that I try really hard to get Marco a nice mix of veges and greens and stuff daily to keep her at the best health possible. Just didnt know if there was more I needed to do!

marco never had a band ... I wanna look into the micro chip thing ... is it expensive? does it hurt them? :confused:

yeahhhhhhhh for birdpoop on your clothes! I think i have babywipes (which btw work amazing) all over my house just to get bird poop off whatever marco lands on LOL ... your baby is precious!

So this weekend my gf who has been bragging that she found a NEW petstore that was a mom/pop shop like the one I got Marco from and it was so awesome in there and they were so friendly yadda yadda but best of all it was CLOSER couldnt wait to take me there! So I was excited to have her show me where it was on Saturday. Needless to say, I drove by it at first becuz it looked like an abandoned plant nursery with huge overgrown weeds and dead trees in the front. My heart sorta sank but I still went in .... Needless to say I was NOT NOT NOT impressed by any means!!!!! OH GOD. It just really wow was not what I had invisioned. It did look like they moved into this old plant nursery, it was dirty at best messy totally I was horrified when I went into the back where their birds for sale were and it was so hot in there i began to sweat and saw the huge Red Macaws that were in there (house birds) were panting like dogs! I noticed maybe about 20 toys for sale, nothing that I would of bought tho. Nothing impressed me at ALL! But here in is my question ....the guy was asking me what kinda bird I had etc etc .... So I explained to him I had a 7mo old grey and course then he asked me what I had her on... I said well I kept her on the same diet she was weened on which was zupreem pellets and a seed mix available all the time, with the fresh vege's morning/night etc. I saw that they stocked NOTHING from Zupreem or Harrisons or anything like that. He only had HIS seed mix in what looked like a cooler youd see at a florist shop. He course scouffed at me and said "He made his own seed with vitamins" :confused::confused: I wasnt sure what that meant "with vitamins" and then I found out that my GF put vitamin drops in her birds water and she has a pineapple conure (or something like that) .... Soooooooooo now Im all freaked out that I should be looking into vitamins for Marco??

great looking cage ... marco was sposed to be a "boy" too lol but its all good its just a name. Im sure she will love her new home and owner welcome

hey ya'll .... my dad brought out this big machine like thing last nite that when he plugged it on and turned it on it made so much noise I started to freak out in my cage and saw mommy come running to rescue me. She was yelling at daddy that he scared me so we got to go into the dinning room and eat pasta while he vacuumed out the ac's I sure dont like that thing tho :mad:

LMAO I was tryin to file Marcos the other day trying to see if I could get her used to it w/out having to have someone else towel her so I could just start doing it at home myself and she would grab the side of the file and allow her head to move back n forth with the file. It was making me giggle !!! needless to say I only got to 2 of them and dont even know how well cuz I was laffing to hard!

Yanno, when my mom was visiting for that week, we enjoyed some time cooking in the kitchen. Course the first thing I begged her to make was homemade apple pies from fresh apples my friend had given us! I was so excited! UNTIL ... (not thinking) they spooged over the edges of the dish, bubbled up on the bottom of my oven and literally caught a FIRE inside my oven !!!!!!! Which a year ago wouldnt of been sucha big deal. I start freaking out running round opening doors, windows, turning on fans to force the smoke out of the house. (thankfully there wasnt that much but ANY bit in my opinion was too much) My mom looked at me like I had lost my mind until I told her how sensitive the birds lil air sacs n stuff were. Needless to say I told her we couldnt make the other pie until we cleaned the spillage off the bottom of my oven AND we had to put something under the 2nd pie. It was a total scare and clear reminder how quickly things can go bad!

Psssst hey hi welcome Stormy! Good to see you ... you are mighty tiny. I cant remember being that small. Wait till you get older and can climb all over your cage, fling things off the top, scream at the top of your lungs, tear things into ity bity pieces its gonna be so great! be sure to start eating your pellets so you can grow big n strong and come back more often next time when you are sposed to be napping LOL you can sneak on here :D
