the teflon really really really is bad I saw it first hand bout a month ago when my friend left a pan on his stove to boil for brewing some tea then got occupied on the phone with his son ... forgot ...water boiled out... burned the pan ... he had 12 baby chicks in his house ... only 3 survived it was horrid. so please always be careful w/the teflon I make sure I use the hair dryer and those sort of things in a different room then my bird is in.

I havent heard a hissing but OH MY GOD I got a growl the one day that just really startled me and Marco was so puffed up bout twice her size walking backwards .... tho, the hissing might be easier on the ears then the dang barkin like my dog she is doing now :rolleyes:

if Wozzie allows you to touch him you can spread the wing carefully out and you will see clearly if he is trimmed or clipped. but it might take you some time for him to trust you to touch on his wings like that, Marco trusts me a wee bit but hates when I mess with her wings. the only time I do is when I put on her harness to take her outside but she allows me to do it then she tries to chew the harness off LOL In my opinion definately leave that feather alone, Wozzie will find it and groom it

WOW please be careful. Your baby has only been home for a very short time. Bonding will come in time no worries but your other animals... keep a very close eye on your new baby! I wont let my cat indoors (well she is 90% an outdoor cat I only brought her in during winter if it snowed cuz I felt bad lol) but I wont be doing that anymore either cuz she is a major hunter. My dogs needed a few days to get used to the bird as well and now they dont care much about her and have found that she flings food and thats a good thing! :rolleyes: but STILL I would not trust my dogs to ever be alone with Marco out! so be very cautious!

I love the little one legged stance when they are sleeping welcome to the thread to you and ava! I dont cover marco however i make sure its dark for her and quiet

my entire dinning room is now covered in boxes of "marco" stuff lol I think we all can relate to some level. i also put in alot of time making marco toys from home including her tree stand is entirely home made, her bath stand home made but then again I like doing that sorta stuff and yes they can sit there and help you while you are crafting for them

Welcome I can only speak for my grey Marco, she is most cuddly at "bedtime" otherwise very independant she likes her scratches on her head but not all the time only when she wants them and she will tell you by lowering her head! We have gotten into routines but Ive only had her a few short months perhaps her behaviours will completely change .... Im sure every bird is different!

hmm maybe mommy will try to take me again some day! its not very CLOSE to us so I have to ride in my cage for over n hour so we dont go often!

ooooooo hey mommy made some YUMMY super YUM bean soup mixture stuff and I think she tries to hide all them veges I dont like in dere but .. nom nom nom I cant stop eating it!

Totally Ray ... I cant get her to eat banana any other time but oooo it was ON when she found it on her own ... on the floor, on the counter, on the wall, on her beak, on the food processor .... n so on but it was ok I was entertained watching her

wassup wassup ..... i just wanted you to know I destroyed and conquered a banana mom wasnt looking and she had me on the counter and this yeller thing was sticking all out and once i sunk my lil beak into it ... that was all she wrote weeeeeeeee naner went flying! she called me her special language and some things i couldnt understand under her breath

I made the mistake of bringing her into the kitchen when I was doing the dishes and she found something to entertain herself with lol ... she had it tore up before I could blink an eye!

omg that is sooo amazing ive only ever seen like 1 other bird on a youtube video with that coloring as a grey. I think its adorable
