  1. The second one looks like there is more to do.
  2. Nice video, my grey is camera shy! So I hardly ever get the good stuff on video.
  3. He really likes that window ledge area, I love it when they try and run or walk really fast, it looks so funny!
  4. I really hope you get good news soon. Sounds like you are doing everything possible to find Mino.
  5. And for stains I buy Folex from Lowes, it is by far the best stain remover I have ever used! I love it! It really works.
  6. Well here is one humidifier I am happy with after returning two. I read online this one had the best reviews that I saw. I still need to get at least one more, I might try a different brand from Lowes, or just get the same since I am so happy with it... I got this one from Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% coupon.
  7. My grey loves to ride on my shoulder. I only had one incident, I was on the computer, he was on my shoulder, I forgot he was there and saw a feather on my shirt in the corner of my eye so I blow it off... then he showed me he was still there and bit my nose! not quite as bad as Timmy did to his owner but I did have a little tiny scab. My fault, I scared him.
  8. That shop vac sounds good for cleaning around the cage and smooth surfaces, I have a dyson canister vac (due to 3 flights of stairs). This is the first high dollar vacuum I ever bought and I am very happy with it. It did take some getting use to with pulling the canister around though. I did not think that shop vac's were good for using in large carpeted areas?? They sell Dyson at Sears, bed bath and beyond and I think Lowes or Home Depot.
  9. Im knocking on wood, but I have not had this problem.
  10. I have not seen one like that, it looks nice!
  11. Sorry, I dont have any experience with plucking, hopefully someone who does will answer. I hope it is also because of the new place, maybe he is nervous, is there allot of noise in your house compared to where they use to live?
  12. that feather was probably ready to come out and he was just playing with it. I wouldn't be worried with this one feather.
  13. MarcusCAG- Were you able to hang the panel next to his favorite sleep perch? Or maybe since he was awake already when you went to see him, he just moved?? Hopefully tomorrow morning you will find him next to it, that is pretty cold.
  14. I made one from cpvc pipe. I copied from it from http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?127511-DIY-Shower-Perch-with-Toy-adaptor Mine is not exactly the same but here it is.
  15. Has anyone seen this trailer yet? http://www.rio-themovie.com/ http://www.cinemablend.com/new/New-Rio-Trailer-Will-Seduce-You-With-Lionel-Ritchie-22105.html
  16. Does Joey have a band on his leg? If so, sometimes the breeders mark the year they were born on in. After he settles in for a while, you can take him to the vet or a bird store that does grooming and they can read/write down the numbers on the band for you. And if you are not sure how to read them, post them here, there are several people here who know allot!
  17. I got the heat panel. It took a day sitting next to his cage, and when I attached it next to the perch he usually sleeps on, I put him in the cage and he was looking at it all funny while he was eating. Then I covered him for the night and when I came down in the morning and uncovered him, he was next to it. He acted the same for the next few days with it, but every time in the morning he was next to it. He is still getting use to it. It is close to the bars, but luckily he has not tried to touch it. He is good about not trying to destroy things. This was the free cage mount, but after I ordered and got the instructions they do make a mount that sets the panel farther back.
  18. Ok, good, thanks... I really appreciate the input and help, I might have over reacted a little , but thanks for the advice and encouragement that all was going to be fine! This (a broken feather) has never happened to me yet so I was a little worried. Hopefully others will learn from this too, thats why I tried to get photos of it all.
  19. Ok its out, but it was broken... and he still picks at the area so maybe some pieces are left behind? this was a piece that he pulled out after the feather. And now a video of him feeling better:)
  20. Check this out! The second photo gets blurry cause I zoomed (cell cam). He still has not gotten it out.
  21. I too do not have a bad poop story, that I can remember, but I like to read about them for some reason! Gross!
