He just learned to dance on cue.. Well he kind of taught himself, I just told him to dance when he shook his head, now he does it when I tell him and sometimes adds his little woo woo sounds! It is so funny

It took him a few minutes to check it out before I could put him on it. But after about 10 mins, he started to play

Well I went out and bought the holee roller. So far he has not played with it. Today I did shove a finger trap in it to see if that catches his eye. Thanks for the ideas!

Update on bottle toy... All Babalu does is chew off the cap... and the bottle falls to the bottom of cage where he never goes! I have replaced the cap like 5 times.

The baby umbrella's at the parrot store do this all the time, it hurts my ears.

Wow, I just saw this... Thank you for adopting Mr Grey instead of buying a baby. It might be tough but like mentioned before very rewarding. It is so sad when we hear of abuse stories on any animal, but a small fragile bird! Sad.. I look forward to hearing how things go once he his settled in. Thanks agin. How did you find out about this grey anyway?

I don't put the cold/hard palm oil chunk on anything, I feed it to him off a spoon. Sorry, that didn't really answer your question though...

Will the sounds of your bird get in the way of others working? To you they might not be annoying, but to not bird people they will be:(

I tried the foxtail nuts too and Babalu was just able to get the skins off. He could not crack them either. Actually he could not crack the queen ones either but he has only had them a couple times. At least they are making things right! I have heard of this company but have not ordered from them yet.

I am so happy that you do not need to cover the cage! She seems to be right at home now, and very smart, you have a nice grey!

my cage is 36w 56t 26d, without playtop. My grey wont sit on top, he will fly/fall to the ground if he is on the perch. So I took it off. He likes to stand on top sides. My grey does not go to the bottom of the cage either, so I guess I did not need on so tall, but I did not know that at the time. I really like my cage anyway:) Here is a picture of it in case you did not see it in the other posts.
