Oh my goodness - you have so much fantastic wildlife and countryside around you. Those monkeys are soooo cute - but I would be really nervous of having Coco around them - they are quick and strong and if they turn, then boy do they turn! Coco must be our most travelled parrot! I may moan and whinge and say "why have you gone and pooped there, naughty tinker" if Harvey does ever go somewhere he doesn't - but I would never punish him for doing so - like he cares about my carpets! He's very clever but I'm sure he can't distinguish between the fact that on his playstand and in his cage he is allowed to poop for England - but sitting on the top or the door or the arm of the chair and if he's comfortable is the same thing to him! He does hold it in mostly, until he returns to his stand - but like I said - he does miss sometimes!

She is just adorable! I've always loved the "strong and tight" - but I have laughed and laughed at the bit around 3.30 where she appears to be making some absolutely crazy laughing noise - it's quite unnerving! Yet another fantastic video of Emma - she just goes on and on! Thanks for this - it's great x

Ha Ha! Number 3 - ALL THE WAY!!! You go to the hair salon and decide that you fancy a change. You give the hairdresser a few tips, but let her decide what suits you. The finished product is hideous - do you: 1. Tell the stylist in no uncertain terms. 2. Pay the lady and go home and try your best to disguise it. 3. Pay the lady and go straight to another salon for them to put it right.

19 weeks ago seems such a long time ago with Harvey - and he's only 17 months old! They quickly firmly establish themselves in your lives - and you wonder what you did before you had them! Still, nearly 14 months on, I still rush home and don't detour to the shops or friends like I used to - and we hang about the house a lot more now - the effects these things have on you! I hope you continue enjoying Murphy's company for a very long time

I agree with Adina - you have to really change your home to accommodate your grey. I have had to throw certain plants out that I know are harmful, I've had to buy door stops, just to ensure that the doors can't move when he is on them (I shudder as I can remember all too clear the bird whose feet were amputated due to a slamming door). My windows were once flung open, now they stay shut. I could go on forever - but my home has DRASTICALLY changed since number one trouble maker came here! You don't need to apologise for calling Isaac a bad bird - you're just in practice for when he actually is (it won't be long until baby grows up)! I have had a terrible time with Harvey lately, and I did adopt Lyn's three strikes and you're out policy - and I have to say - it works wonders! I just take him back to his cage, only for a few minutes, but his anger has subsided - these visits are much less at the moment as I have an absolute angel living with me - but I'm still prepared for the turn!! Isaac is still very, very young, and is now starting to branch out and try and assert a bit of that pent up authority he is harbouring!

What about the shows containing Simon Cowell! I love him - I think he is absolutely hilarious - and he's soon to unleash Cheryl Cole on you all (she's from my area) - and boy I wish I looked like her!

We'll send you food parcels (if the Canadian Customs allows it) when you are in prison for the "improper usage of the palm nut"!! I still take it that these are the Queen nuts and not the actual African palm nuts? The African Palm nuts do spoil quite quickly and I find that unless Harvey takes it straight away I end up throwing it away after a couple of hours as I feel they are turning "mushy". Harvey goes in the right place 90% of the time - but if he is distracted, say when I'm here in the study and he's sitting on the top of the door, and I also forget and don't take him back to his stand, he sometimes does have an accident. He will never poop on a person though - we just have to remember to take him back to his stand every 10 minutes or so - and then give the command "go poop" and he does. I used to think that people were bonkers when they said you could predict it, as they gave a little "wiggle" - but it's true. So when Murphy gives this "wiggle", whip him up and put him where you want him to go. When he does poop, you are right - praise him to the hilt. Always tell him to "go poop", or "have a pooh" or whatever you want - but don't give it a slang word (I don't need to spell them out) because he is more than likely to repeat it as he'll hear it that much! Good luck - some manage, like Dave says, some don't - there was NEVER a choice that I wasn't going to succeed! I live in the cream/beige palace!!!!

What a great place! We have nothing like that here - perhaps one day! You must be delighted that they are such caring, sharing people - and learning that bit of history about Nilah is priceless! I agree with Janet - put the website "pen" down - and get posting some pictures!!!

Harvey's in one of those "I want your undivided attention" phases. It is very sweet - I love it, but occasionally I just need that little "me time" - you know, to dust, hoover etc!! Well, I've found a way to keep him quiet! He doesn't move from his java tree for 45 minutes + RUN OUT AND BUY SOME! SUGAR CANE IS THE FUTURE!!! (for owner's peace)!
