I think I've rubbed off on you too Dee - you used to be sensible too! Oh well, at least you're enjoying your peace before Juno comes home - oh boy, you won't know what's hit you!!!
-
Harvey's nine months at the end of September and I'm having the same problems! I'm at my wits end about the amount of feathers that I'm finding (and they're not just downie feathers - they're proper ones too)! He is scratching like mad all of the time - I'm bathing him every night nearly to try and help. I can't wait until it's over! Harvey's got a new feather right at the nape of his neck which is jet black and looks like a small paintbrush - it's driving him mad!
-
You're like an expectant mother! I can remember it well! I took time off work to go and collect Harvey too I was that excited! Can't wait until you bring him home!!
-
Only 9M - get me two ordered! That is absolutely beautiful - why haven't I got that much money!!!! I'd like to see more pictures - I love looking at stuff I can't ever afford!!
-
I'm showering him every day - but I'm still worried about the amount of feathers that are coming out - he is honestly at himself the whole time. He can't stand the misting bottle and absolutely freaks out - so the shower is the nearest he gets to being wet.
-
I've got caller ID and I still answer the phone - I'm so nosy and love winding them up!!!
-
Here's one then - entitled - whoops, I've got no head! and this is the only view we seem to see at the moment: He is preening ALL of the time - there's some really tough, black paintbrush like feathers coming in at the nape of his neck, poor soul.
-
Hey - I've got no knowledge - I don't know how he's made the first 9 months of his life (beginner's luck I suppose)!! I've never ever joined a forum before - not because I'm shy, because clearly I'm not - but because I think people who join forums are weirdos, freaks, aliens, monsters....... and since I've met all of the aforementioned on here I am so reassured!! Joking asides - the friends that I've made on here are invaluable - and I look forward to chatting each evening (I promise I do have a life folks, I just don't watch the soaps any more!!). Thanks to all who've kept me amused, and for those who I rely on for my advice (you know who you are!!). {Love-0002011E}

You're not boring me! I enjoy hearing of Argyle's advances (even though I feel so sorry for him having such a regrettable name!!) He is coming on leaps and bounds Julie - looking forward to more pictures soon xx
-
Ha Ha! So this is who Tequila Blue is! I was wondering!! Paul's taken on your love for the feathered variety ~ how amazing! Imagine some alcohol being thrown into the mix!!!! That's great news - I'm popping off to your profile to take a peek xx
-
Oh Robin, I am so sorry - just think that George died of a broken heart after Gracie went. Considering these are made for birds I think it is terrible that it could have possibly caused their demise. They're back together now though. Anyway - who is this Tequila blue in your signature!!!!
-
I don't know if it's because Harvey is moulting - but he's turned into the numpty from idiot island! Tonight, for example - he's already flown into my head and also now into the curtains (which he's never done before)! I feel I can't leave him unsupervised for a second - he's been in and out of his cage tonight more than the OAPs at the Christmas Disco doing the Hokey Cokey (with bilateral hip replacements)! He also won't leave me alone! He's glued to me and is insisting I am "preened" too (which consists of nips to my shoulder and neck area - he's been removed numerous times now)!! He really is starting to look like a badly stuffed pillow - there's baby feathers peeking out all over the place!!
-
He's just so lovely Sheila - and I'm still loving the accompanyment in the background xx
-
Ha Ha Ha! Don't worry - neither do I!!! Now, that could be my third club.....swinging! Only joking!!!
-
Oooh Judy - I love to thrill - but you're not my type, sorry!!
-
Ah - he is so sweet! I can see why you wanted one - I still couldn't cope with two - I'm at my wits end with one!!! But when I see photos like this it gets me thinking......! Nope, I couldn't!!
-
I was thinking about one of these forragers - but didn't think Harvey would go for it - clearly Ana Grey loves it - I think you might have made my mind up to buy one!! Thanks for the video - it's fab

I use reed diffusers too - you can remove the reeds when you feel the scent is too strong and re-plug the oil bottle. I got my from the House of Fraser - they're a bit more expensive than your typical air scents (about £18) but they do last forever and aren't an "air borne" scent. This is the link - it's the tall box in the picture: http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/null+Wild+Fig+++Vanilla+Room+Essence+Range/WLDFGVNL,default,pd.html?cgid=1018

new and need to know al ot of things

Well done for researching - I too owned a cockatiel and I can tell you that the transition from your tiel to a grey is absolutely mind numbing! There is so much you need to take into consideration - but you've made the first step by joining the forum. My nieces are 20 months and four years old and have been around Harvey since he was 16 weeks old. He'll tolerate them - but isn't overly friendly - put it this way, I certainly wouldn't leave them in a room together unsupervised. Keep researching though - there's so much you wouldn't even dream you would need to know (about harmful foods, smells, toxins etc) which you just take for granted in your day to day lives. Good luck! -
# 27 If you were once house proud and your house once looked like a "show house" it won't anymore!

It's getting colder in the evenings here in the UK, so I've been closing our conservatory doors and bringing Harvey's playstand into the living room. So, last night, in came Harvey on his playstand. My husband had been shopping and came in with a pomegranite - something Harvey hadn't eaten before. I picked some of it out for him and put it in his bowl. It's his new favourite! But, on closer inspection - the juice was all over my sofa, my carpet, my blinds, my conservatory doors and up the front of the TV cabinet! I've moved him back into the conservatory this morning and just wiped down the chairs, the table, the yucca plant (as featured in my avatar) - whose idea was it that they liked pomegranite!!!! Luckily the sofa in the sitting room are leather and so are the chairs in the conservatory - but my poor, lovely, once cream carpet!!!

From the british perspective - thank you for accepting our house warming present - I've lost the receipt though - so you can't return her! She has a brilliant voice - but she's a little bit strange. . . . . . .! Ps - I have no problem swapping her for justin timberlake if you believe in fair trade! -
oh my god! I'm sitting here crying laughing! Not at the old man - but at charlie in the background - you'll not realise - but he's got a proper scouse accent! It's mint! I also loved hearing cracker making the usual cockatiel scream that gets on your nerves - until it's not there anymore - it was lovely for me to hear x You technological whizz kid - well done for the video!
