  1. It's like animal hospital in your house!! You are two wonderful people - I don't know how you have the time or energy!!! Get that camera out!!
  2. Star Wars! I hated the whole series!!! "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me."
  3. The friend from work is the sweetest, kindest person you could meet - nobody has a bad word to say about her (unlike me!!) and she's just so caring and nice! We'd been having a conversation about the goings on in our lives and she went to a local department store and picked this up! She then asked another friend, in hindsight, if she should give it to me (she thought I'd be offended)! Sums me up I think anyway! But thank you very much to all who told me that this was in no way a true reflection of me. FRIENDS, FRIENDS!!! Huh!
  4. Okay! I believe you!! Is Mac n Cheese Macaroni Cheese? I think I'm a bit lost in translation!!
  5. Goodness me Robin! Tequila last week and GBG this week! You are such a lovely, caring lady Robin - I'm sure GBG will be over the moon that the lady who visits him and loves him is taking him home. Can't wait to see some pictures xxx
  6. You do yourself injustice! What you did was exceptional,I think beyond the expectations of anybody for their pet (even though we love them dearly). What you did could have got you in an awful lot of trouble - but you were selfless in your care for baby Rishi. Lots of Love from here in the UK - keep us posted
  7. He's such a picky eater - he turns his "nose" up at everything he really doesn't want - anything that he does want he'll try with great ease! I've just put the Harrisons on it's own on his playstand and usually when I put food on at tea time he tucks in and we don't see his head for at least 30 minutes. He's just flying around not knowing what to do with himself as he won't eat the Harrison's! Do I cave in and give him his teatime veggies and seed and Kaytee - I still obviously want him to eat!
  8. It's sat there - all day, looking sad (it doesn't look to palatable to be honest in comparison to Kaytee!) He's eaten his veg and his seeds - but the pellets remain untouched. How long can I leave these before I have to give in and give him his Kaytee back? PS. The Harrison's has a different taste to the Kaytee - the Kaytee is more fruity - yes - I have tasted them!!!! :woohoo:
  9. Bloody Hell! Cholesterol overdose!! Watch that heart of yours!!!!!
  10. Spock - you will be a real tonic to Jay & Maggie - they will have to realise that all the people in the world aren't as trusting and caring as they are. There are some real low lifes and I could really turn this into a torrent of rage and abuse - but you're only a baby and I don't want you hearing such terrible words. I pray and hope that these nasty people get some terrible disease and it rots and drops off! They are so lucky to have you and Jim and I'm sure you really did make them feel special

    OMG

Harvey's not tested either - but parrots are all boys (apart from Polly)! I may get the shock of my life once day when "he" lays an egg - but until then - he is definitely male (he's grumpy like my husband!!)
  12. I want Jim and Spock to come and live with me!! I love them - they are such characters! I love reading about Jim & Spock! Can we have it a little more frequently!!! Jill x
  13. I received a little present from a work colleague today - a coffee cup mat - with the following verse on it: Entitled: You are Mad Dear Person, you are MAD. But I mean that in a NICE way. ie You are NICE mad, not SCARY mad. Scary mad would not be good. Oh god, please don't go SCARY MAD. Mmm, not sure!!! And this was from a supposed friend!!!!
  14. I'm going to make an effort to do one a day! I've started with "my current friends" and promise to make a new friend each day (or apologies if I make an enemy along the way)!
  15. I take mine out too - I didn't until I read a post about it on here. I used to use them for treats - but binned them all. Better safe than sorry where my baby is concerned!
  16. Well done! Takes a bit of time and effort - but aren't the rewards great!!! What a gorgeous birdie - and what a fab coloured beak. Thanks for sharing this
  17. Ha Ha! That is quite unnerving! Loved it - thanks for that - it's really made me giggle xx
  18. Harvey was really "biting" a couple of months ago. I put him to bed earlier and gave him a really good sleep - he was fine again in the morning - perhaps he's not getting enough shut eye?
  19. I have to say - I did have a bit of thick head this morning after a bottle of wine!! I may need to give my liver a rest soon!
  20. Perhaps you have the tastiest, softest skin ever! Michael's nearly given up with Harvey nowadays - all he ever does is take a swipe at him - even now to point where he won't step up onto him. He's a bit disheartened - but keeps on trying. We all have our off days - perhaps Beau and Argyle are just having joint ones! Keep your chin up - I'm sure it's a passing phase - everything will be back to normal soon
  21. Great thread Jane - I have the rambo of the grey species - Harvey is scared or anxious about nothing new! Like Janet I researched heavily before choosing to get a grey and read about changing their cages round and toys etc and think this really does Harvey good. He accepts ANYTHING near him - he never shies away from anything and enjoys anything new he is given. I change his toys all of the time in his cage and on his playstand and I think because of this he readily accepts change. They'll definitely not get bored will they - and this is my ultimate aim
  22. Look my goddess - you have to think it from my perspective - I could look like Princess Fiona from Shrek - go on, give me a break!!!
  23. I used to have spare money - until Harvey firmly established himself in the family! Actually - he didn't even have a talon across the threshold and he was costing me a fortune, already!! I now buy something EVERY week as a treat - he's costing me a fortune. My latest, whilst browsing was his palm nuts (which he loves) but alongside these there was sugar cane - so that's my impulse buy this week - but what the heck do you do with it! Do you drill it and hang it or what!! I'd be grateful for the answer - and also find out what you impulse bought and whether you found a use for it!
