Change room mates! Can your room mate not just acknowledge Tucker - he just wants a bit of assurance that there is somebody there and a bit of a chat. It's like having a toddler sitting on the floor playing with it's toys and an adult just walks on past them! Harvey gets about the same sleep - it doesn't matter how long we are in bed, he still is awake early in the morning.

What a terrible predicament - I presume the way out of the Maldives is only by sea plane? I'm sure it would be very expensive to get to the nearest mainland (which I presume would be South Africa) - and I'm not sure of the quarantine issues surrounding this either. This is a terrible, terrible situation and my heart goes out to you. Dan's obviously correct - your bird needs a vet - but I think that for you this is impossible.

John - I'd just go with this lot - their birds are fine, healthy specimens - and I follow their info and guidance to a tee! If they told me that I had to feed Harvey caviar - I'd do it!

Aren't they all spoiled through and through!! I've spent more on him in the last five months than on myself!!! I speak to him before I speak to Michael and the kids when I come in (probably because I get a better conversation - and he can't even talk!!!)

Thanks Jack - I'll be charging him commission soon - I'm always banging on about how great the Aviator is as opposed to the other (said in a very little, quiet voice - feather tether)! I've had my ups and downs with the harness - Harvey "forgot" it after we'd been on holiday for two weeks - but soon got back in the saddle! Evidence:

It's the same in our house Pat - at first Harvey loved Katie - went to her all the time - then he starting nipping her. Now he flies to her all of the time and she's afraid - and just won't touch him. She's happy for him to sit on her knee, but that's as far as it goes. I keep trying too - I hope it's successful for you.

On the way home this evening I came through some roadworks (coned off, one lane only 50mph speed limit). In front of me was a big jam sandwich police car. Once out of the roadworks (or so I thought) he didn't overtake the car in front of him, so I pulled my cruise control back (it was set to 70mph) and my car accelerated past him (full indicators etc). Next thing I know, there he was, all lights and sirens a blazing! I pulled over and played the dumb blonde (isn't hard, apart from the fact I'm a brunette). He's tugged me because at the time I'd overtaken him the 50 speed limit still applied. I played dumb, battered my eyelashes and apologised profusely. After a little lecture he sent me on my way - PHEW! Moral of the story - Car manufacturers should make cars that don't do over the speed limit! They gave me that accelerator for a reason!!!!

That is so sad Caitlin - I'm really sorry - nobody should see their beloved pets in that sort of circumstance. Her poor little sister too - she must be so lost without her. Rest in peace now, little Nini x
