Thats what I was thinking too, She has that human "tone" Just nothing you can make out yet...Thats why I was wondering if that is her practicing Today she is making all those noises like CONSTANTLY, More than ever, She like sort of like a person trying to sound like a monkey, "ooo ooo aaahh ahhhh" You know what I mean? lol, Anyway, I love listening to her silly sounds, haha

Well Good Luck! So sorry to her your baby is sick! I am sorry I dont have any advice, But My thoughts are with you! Cant you give them pedialite if they are not drinking much to keep them hydrated? I know you can with dogs, not sure about the greys...I know there will be good advice from these folks here!

Thanks for the reply Dave! Yeah, I cant make anything out, Thats why I posted it, This is my first grey so, I just wondered if this was the beggening of talking She sounds so silly! Sorry it is so long, I just have to set the camera up and let it record and wait to get anything on camera from her, haha

So here is a video I got of Calypso Making all her silly noises, She really gets going as the video is almost over before I walk up to her...Dont mind my cell phone ringing in the background, or my grumbly voice, I have a cold right now Tell me what you think! She is about 7 months old.

I was just getting ready to post the same question, Lol, My CAG Calypso Does a lot of weird sounds, I am guessing she is trying to talk, I dunno, She does the whistle at the end of the sponge bob square pants theme song, And the wolf whistle, The microwave, and the smoke detector (my LEAST fav...haha, She is JUST as loud as the detector is, haha) Then all kinds of weird mumbleing and groaning sounds, I actually have a video of her making these sounds, I thought about posting it, BUT, You cant see her in the video, I was hiding around the corner, Cuz she shuts up when she see's the camera, OH well, Maybe I will post it anyway...

When I weaned my CAG, I guess you could say I Abundance fed too, I just kept feeding her untill, Well, I never thought it would happen, BUT, She just wouldnt take it anymore, She would actually take some and then spit it out shortly after, So then I would just give her less, And less, And less, And then it was nothing.

I dont think the Feather plucking procedure is frowned upon, I mean, How much worse is it than cutting your birds toenail too short to where they bleed, It is like, Would you rather pluck 6 hairs out of your head or cut one of your nails too short and it bleed then has to heal?

Oh well Thanks! Now I know Maybe they will have them at my local petsmart, Petco, or petsupermarket, although I have checked all places and havnt seen them there yet. I dont know why they dont carry them always, they sound SO much better than the tether...And I know the metal clips are aweful...The thing is so awkward. It isnt pants though. Maybe you are thinking of the one that looks like a diaper JillyBeanz...Or maybe its just a typo, lol... Anyway, Thanks for explaining it to me, And hopefully I will be able to get the aviator.

What do you all think of the "feather Tether" Harness??? I got one and tried it and Calypso HATED it, I returned it. But I also know they just get some time getting use to...I am going to need a harness for calypso, like this week, So I dont have time to order an aviator harness, Which seems to be the fav here, lol, So what should I do give the tether another try? Or what? I dunno...lol I have never seen them for sale anywhere, But Why couldnt you use the tethers that are leather that go around the ankles, Like they do for Falcons and Hawks and stuff, I mean it would be only for flying, you obviously couldnt take them for a "Walk" in one, But just for perching on your hand and flying a bit...Not that I can even get one of these, I was just curious as to what everyone thinks of them, and why you dont see them around for parrots Just curoius.

This is a Great Topic Danmcq! I know it will help me with what to say to my bird to train her Cuz sometimes I am just like, "uuhhh what do I say to her now" lol Well Calypso (formally known as Ecko, Till we found out she was a girl) is 5 months old and now laughs just like me and my husband at least 4 times a day...I thought I heard her say "hello" about 2 months ago, No more though...But The past 3 weeks she has been doing that low mumbling everyone talks about as a first sign of talking...Sounds just like my husbands voice, just not making any words.

I kinda like Sadie...You know she will will be your little Princess Let us all know what you choose! Right now I am also thinking about names, I am not sure wether or not to rename my Ecko, Since he came back a girl, Lol, I know it could go ethier way, And I really like it, But I like some others too...So I dunno, And she is only 5 months, So I know she would pick it up fast...I am thinking Coco or Calypso, They both have the same ring to them as Ecko, I still dont know what to do though
