lol yep, I think the guy talking in the video pretty much nailed it, "I think he needs a bigger bowl dude" lol Very cute Ecko!
-
lol, YES They all keep me busy. Never a dull moment!

My grey's name is Calypso....Because that is my favorite music pretty much. And we are VERY tropical people, So I like to go with tropical names. I also have kokomo from the beach boys song, Lola, and Gigi. And my Chameleons name is Bob Marley, lol....My baby (dog), His name is Jack Daniel. Then I have Phoebe and Meeko the cats. Sherman the turtle ( i know not very tropical huh? Just sounded funny for a turtle to be named sherman) And I think thats it...hahaha

Hehe, Thanks guys We love it just as much as the birds, lol, we sit out there all the time. Oh and just an update...Just within the last 2 days, Calypso now says as clear as day, "Its raining" and The "cere cere cere cere" Is just what I thought, "Here kitty kitty kitty" hahaha
-
Lol it is, At least by her, It is the only one she sits on. The other birds use the rest of the branches though.

Awe what great pictures! You have very photogenic babies there! Thank you for taking the time to take them and post them for our enjoyment!

I agree totally...I dont think of my grey (or any of my pets for that matter) as human. I feel there is a huge differance here. And honestly I feel sorry for the monkey's and chimps, But also for the people, Cuz there is obviously something wrong upstairs. For those of you who did see it, What about the part where the monkey kept taking off her diaper (cuz monkeys were not made to have to wear diapers) And she said " Did you take your panties off?!" And then punished her by putting her in her "room" aka-cage...For the rest of the day or night or whatever. NOTE> I am NOT making fun of her or any of these people, Just quoting part of the show that I felt was just sad.

Coooool, Thanks
-
Hope it isnt plucking but dave it usually right, lol... I know he will get better though, cuz you always spoil him and take such good care of him
-
Yeah I was going to say what dan said, Calypso loves to throw her toys down and I have a toy bucket that hangs from the top of her cage and I throw it back in there like I am playing basketball, and she gets all excited and yanks it back out of the bucket and throws it at me again, and this continues on till I am just sick of doing it, lol You could also get some fruits and veggies, say carrots, corn and a piece of apple...And I will act like a taste a piece, and say "mmmmmm, Carrot" and then put it close to her, and she touchs her beak to it and as she does I repeat it "mmmmm, carrot" and then if she wants to eat it fine, it not on to the next one, like the corn or apple.

OH MY GOD, it is PERFECT! I have a lovebird (which would fit into your parrotlet attitude there) a cockatiel, a quaker and my grey...And you couldnt have hit the nail on the head better. I will be showing my hubby this he will get a kick out of it thanks for composing!! Oh and by the way LOL LOL LOL!!! -
Awe what a heart warming story All my animals always make me feel so much better too, Its so great. Thats why I surround myself with them. And they each play a differant part in my life and I love them all. Thanks for sharing this great conversation and hope you have a better day today

Thanks everybody! It is so funny to hear them trying to say new things, Like right now she keeps saying "you wanna jar" And I am thinking to myself, I dont think I have EVER said the word jar in her precence, So just this morning it is becoming more noticable what she is trying to say, She is trying to say "You wanna DRINK of WATER" So it is the DR in drink and the AR sound in water, Just minus the T, lol And right now she keeps going "cere cere cere cere" And I think she is trying the say here kitty kitty kitty. But once they start talking like she finally has, it only takes a couple days to learn a new thing, and it is so cool to here the sounds transform into what they are trying to say. We are having so much fun!!! And thank you for all the wonderful compliments :)

We tried the harness, HA, Yeah right, Thats never gunna happen, lol, But I will post a pic of the back porch so you can see how it is set up, We also built a tree out there for the birds. @Birdnut, Yeah I was worried she wouldnt imitate us because of all the other birds in the house, But she just started to talk not too long ago, she didnt start talking like really clear till 15 months. She is at like 17 ot 18 now. I would have to look at the calender. How old is Moussa? And She speaks, Love bird, Cockatiel, Quaker parrot, and human...lol

OMG this just happened to me the other day too, I had closed her cage for the night and was getting ready to cover it, But had walked away to fill the dogs dish up with water first, and when calypso doesnt get covered soon enough and her door is shut, she starts to do the whole "digging like a bull" thing, like she is going to get out....And slightly frustrated since I was tired, lol, I said " Hang on! " And I hear the in the most eeri little human voice "Okkkaayyy" Its weird when they are cognitivly speaking it seems to be when they speak thier clearest, and sort of quite. At least this is the case for calypso. And it sounds so freakin' scary sometimes, lol
