1. I am so sorry to hear this.
2. Hear is a picture charlie insisted I post of his ouchy wing, taken a few weeks ago.It is much better now, just a small bare patch at the top . He is still on anti histamines but they will be stopping sometime this week and we will see how it goes then.It is not very clear but you can get the idea.I think he is quite proud of his war wound.

Post edited by: she, at: 2010/02/14 20:23

14. Blue arrived last night and made himself right at home.It amazes me how adaptable he is.I guess age brings experience and he has seen and done it all before. Hear is a picture I took a few minutes ago .
15. Cracker loves getting under his papers for hours so I am expecting him to love it.It should arrive in the next few days. I will let you know what he thinks of it.

I am very scared of coverings on cages, since cracker got metal poison as a baby. Rust is also detrimental. Get a new cage,Thats my advise. Metal poison is a horrible thing and I am so lucky to still have cracker.
17. I think a call to a vet is needed.Ink can be nasty stuff.
18. I have just ordered this one for Cracker my tiel. I know my Grey would not use one. http://www.24parrot.com/Happy-Hut--3-Sizes-P35550a/
19. Blue gets fed a seed mix plus fruit and veg.My cousin thinks I spoil charlie too much lol.I must say Blue is not looking too bad on it.He has never been clipped in his life but he does not fly much now.He just likes sitting on top of his cage.
20. Blue is a great bird but he is showing a bit of age,He moves quite slow and loves a nap and an early night,he lets you know when it is his bed time.He has quite good feathers and nice bright eyes and is always ready for a bit of food, food is his hobby lol.
21. I forgot to say Bernards sign on name is Barneyboo.Janet I will keep you up to date on Blues visit
22. My cousin Bernard who owns Blue is a member of this forum,he does not post but reads through the posts. So I guess at 45 Blue and Bernard are the winners lol.hear is a pic of the old man. Oh by the way he is coming to me on Friday yippie.
23. Julie is correct in saying my vet has advised me not to feed palm nuts.He weighed Charlie the other day and said he did not want him to put on any more weight.I mentioned the palm nuts and he said Greg is quite right. He said he would possably feed them to an aviary bird in the very cold weather to keep up fat stores but not to a house bird who does not need it.I also mentioned Aloe juice because I had taken Charlie because he has chewed at the top of his wing due to new feather growth causing irritation. His view on this was that on birds he has asked owners to use it on he has seen no benefit. The debate will go on .A collar was tried on Charlie but after a few hours he was clearly not going to accept it so we are now going through the route of anti histamines in his water and daily baths and a lot of distraction. I am pleased to say that yesterday and so far today he has left the wing alone. Post edited by: she, at: 2010/01/28 09:07

Post edited by: she, at: 2010/01/28 13:47
