Marco says her full name (first and last) and has gotten everyones name in the family down including the dogs. I find that she will put our last name with our first as well when shes calling to us which amazed me and she puts her name on the end of things she says like "Are you hungry Marco" or "Want some dinner Marco" ...

I saw the price too and it made my wallet cringe however perhaps a less costly unit might be good. I take marco's cage out in the summer time no problem and use the hose but the real problem is the winter time I definately need to look into getting one

wow I havent had any experiences with night frieghts with marco I am glad you both got thru it. sorry but I did giggle when I read that dorian was unforgiving of his perch ... hope hes much better now!

Awww Marco and I thank you for sure ya'll have definately been a HUGE part of her life. Shes spoiled EVERY day of her life lol (just ask my kids) when they see me cooking food just for her and the huge room filled with toys just for her She has made such an addition to our family and Id have it no other way! Her antics her jabbering keeps us on our toes and usually a smile in our heart and face Anyways ... I havent seen alot of changes in her as far as the terrible 2's. Just alot more vocal shes started conversing with us now. She is definately MY baby and Im so thankful I made the decision to get her 2 years ago! Ya'll are just super!

Soooo I can not believe Im about to report that 2 years have FLOWN by (no punn intended) and Marco is now into the terrible 2's stage lol. Yanno in the beginning, I think I just wanted a "cool parrot" that could talk and I could show off. I had NO clue what I was getting myself into :confused:. Id never owned a bird. I was a dog/cat type person. Infact birds scared me. Who would of thought 2 years ago I would of let some tiny lil grey barely feathered thing into my life and she would change it to the magnitude she has. I do contribute alot of my decision in getting her to the amazing petstore that hand raised her, cared so deeply for not only her but for me and taught me alot about owning a parrot, and I contribute the rest to ya'll that have helped me along in this journey. Not for 1 moment have I regretted my decision to bring Marco into my life. She is so awesome and gets smarter every day its just amazing to watch. So SO ... Happy 2nd Birthday my little Marco may the years from 2-5 fly by LOL so I dont have to say what a lil terror you have turned into :rolleyes:

Sounds like you are making great progress with Joey keep up the great work. keep offering those foods he runs from what they dont like today they might tomorrow

marco babbles on day in day out, in the room out of the room, camera on camera off ... i think its just the bird and personality

thats how i do it and try to keep the vids to under 3 min otherwise it takes about n hour to upload depending on your connection speed

I set mine to clean Sunday and packed Marco up and we headed out for the day the smell in there while its self cleaning gives ME a headache I cant imagine what it would do to a bird. I use the vinegar/dawn mixture on cleaning marco's cage

she was inside her travel case and it looks like this so she could see me but with that meshy netting it wasnt overly clear .... anyways ... she was on the lil perch in that carrier and began to bob her head up and down there wasnt any sound she was looking at me as best she could and just one little tiny piece of "something" food Im sure came up. My first thought was I had made her nervous being covered up and whisking her into the car so quickly cuz it was so cold ... I would be suprised if it was out of affection ... just seems like a weird time to have done that for the first time EVER .... She is great now, not another episode at all the rest of the day or since .. shes eating and acting normal and even said a new word last nite APPLE

I was going to name the thread "Regurge" but thought ... eww that was nasty but here in lies the question about it .... For the first time Sunday Marco did this not once but 4 times almost in a row. Heres what we were doing and what she did. I set my stove to "self clean" and knew that we had to vacate the house for 4 hours so we packed Marco up in her travel cage, warmed the car up, put a blanket round her cage and ran to the car once in the warm car, I moved the blanket back ... She was in my lap in the cage and I could see her starting to "wretch" for lack of a better word and then poof up came a lil chunk. Then again 3 more times in her cage. SO now Im freaking out. I know that ya'll say its like some sorta "affection" thing but like I said, shes NEVER done it before and seems like a weird time that shed be showing any type of affection. So heres my question ... Could her being nervous in the cage of made her do that? Or could she actually of had an upset tummy that made her do that? I had just fed her prior to packing her up. Your thoughts? She was TOTALLY fine once we got to my friends house, and didnt do it anymore nor did she do it on the way home. Shes travelled with me LOTS before so I was thinking perhaps it was just nerves being draped under the blanket to keep warm and stuff.

marco gets a warm shower when shes in there with me and seems to like it fine and as far as her bathing in her bowl she does that as well not sure of the water temp there I can only tell you she waits for it to be fresh and clean and then decides all of a sudden she needs to be IN IT !!!!!! :rolleyes:
