That's funny Ray...I have been working with Shadow on the whistle for that very song. Although I do not have a "day job" projects around here seem never ending. This summer we have been preparing to be on a home tour for the National Train Collectors Association. What were we thinking!!! lol So, as I am repeatedly out the door, I have been singing the same tune!

I just cut down a fabulous small tree...I think it will make a great playstand. Now to scrub and let dry. :rolleyes:

Our time with these beautiful birds is always too short. Jojo looks to have been a very happy bird and I know he will be missed. So sorry for your loss.

Our baby girl just last week...6 week old Panama Amazon (still working on a name). I thought I would also share her hatch day photo. She is the tiny baby in the bottom of the picture. Sorry it's hard to see but she was still in the incubator.

You might try a "do it yourself" pest control. We have a local store for do it yourselfers, they sell stronger products more like what the pros use. You could talk to them about the bird situation too. Just a thought.

Shadow chirps like that when she is feeling neglected. When she first started, I moved her to a busier part of the house and she stiopped. Now she only does it when I have been really busy and she is letting me know she is not happy about that.

There is a huge lump in my chest...that poor bird.

Adorable! I have watched a little Galah grow up during my recent visits to help my friend. They are very endearing.

Well....after much consideration, I think we have decided to go with the tiny girl. She has a very sweet story an I actually saw her the day she hatched! I have always been drawn to tiny.... premature babies, chihuahuas and even my grey is a tiny girl. I can not thank you all enough for your input and look forward to sharing our story with everyone as we watch this little girl grow. I am so lucky that she is less than an hour way in a great place learning how to be a bird.
