CAN ANYBODY make a signature thingy? LOLZ
katana600 replied to OtisMom's topic in Photography & Video Room
Same here, every time I put in a signature, it will not save. Also I have the symbol saying nothing on that section of forum settings is visible on my profile. I don't have any fancy graphics, just wanted to put my real name on it and favorite quotes from time to time. Someday I will work up to the graphics. -
I am packing for a great four day adventure flying off to the International Quilt Festival in Houston Texas. I had to take a minute to see if Camilla and Gonzo's last egg has hatched and come in here one more time to see Alfie. This is just too sweet. LOL to the finishing of the nursery rhyme. I didn't know it was so well known, I wasn't about to suggest this beautiful girl was ever horrid. Jill... must be that was little girl was someone we all know and love?

Judy made me feel welcome from the first day as we await the day our little guy comes home. Thanks Judy and congratulations on reaching a milestone on your prolific posts of encouragement and enlightenment for all of us. You are one in a million.

He is gorgeous and that stand is a fabulous find. Your pictures are just fine, don't wait for a new camera, you are letting us see into your life with a big bird. What you describe as a blinding light looks to me like Meiko is "angelic". Thanks for the pictures.

This is priceless. She looks like one of the old fashioned Kewpie dolls. Either that or the nursery rhyme: There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very very good, and when she was bad.....

Today I saw Camilla pick up a chick with her foot and move it under her in one swift efficient motion. Gonzo picked one up gently in his beak. The little ones were opening and closing their beaks as if they were peeping and I saw tiny little outstretched wings and tiny little feet. This is incredible. It looks like one chick has its eyes open.

What adorable pets you have Bernie. Careful even joking about kicking that cat, you'll earn your stripes! When I was watching a 3 yr old boy for the first time, he came to me saying "me titchertat". I couldn't understand even when he repeated himself. When asked to show me... he said "me" pointing to himself, "titched" with a kicking motion, "ertat" pointing to my cat. Horrified, I said "What? You kicked my cat? That's mean, don't ever do that again!" He responded "Me knows, her bited my leg" as he pulled up his pants leg to show me two bright red stripes.

Four happy years and counting! Happy Bird-Day! What a delight for both of you.

I hope Lily responds quickly to her vet's recommendations. Thanks for posting because it is encouraging to us first time newbies to understand that our intuition is important and the vet is the first thought that should come to mind if we sense things are "off". Hopefully she will have a fast, full recovery. Karma to you for being so observant.

It looks like he is having a good time at every turn. I looked back at his baby photos and all your pictures are just soo sweet and wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Biscotti is a lucky little boy.

Congratulations to you Justin and Candace as you welcome Ollie to your family. He looks so sweet and ready to accept your home as his own. Thanks for the video, it is always a pleasure to see a happy homecoming.

It is wonderful that your wait is over. It is exciting for all of us to share that joy with you. Do you have a name picked out for your new addition? Our call should come any moment now to tell us when our five month old CAG can come home. I am glad to live through your happy moment, thanks for sharing! Dee

Jill, that is like a magazine picture for good health. Naughty boy indeed, he is a perfect little guardian angel showing us all how to eat well. He is such a beautiful boy.

Oh happy happy day! I go check the nest every chance I have and this time I got to see all three chicks together moving. The close up cam is incredible. To see their little wings and beaks and see them in motion just enthralls and delights. Thank you so much for showing us what it is like for this family to thrive.

Thanks for joining us and posting about Charlotte. Your experience is advice for next person in your position. The caring loving attitude you have toward for your girl is an inspiration.

I say the same thing about the birds as I did about the kids. Spoiled would imply bad behavior based on overindulgence without boundaries or discipline. Our forum birds are pampered maybe, but well behaved and well socialized. The wild birds outside hang on the window frames pecking on the glass trying to get a piece of this action.
-
Okay, mark me into the fussy category. We have small dogs and while tossing a tidbit occasionally isn't a big deal, I can't stand them running under the bird and eating other droppings. At the wild bird store, I just found a large round lightweight screen that can be mounted to the bottom of a bird feeder... or parrot toy to catch a lot of the mess. Of course, still no African Grey at my house, so it may be a good idea that doesn't hold up to a bigger bird. Will let you know.
-
That is adorable. It makes me wonder, when other creatures see humans tending to an African grey... while we bake a chicken... do they think awwwww?

How about this one: get a massage table, take lessons once a week for a year, give him a 1 1/2 hour massage one night a week for one year as an anniversary gift. After a year it was his turn, he poured the boiling water on me instead of warm oil. So... on his night I put a pair of boning shears on a metal table, and said "trust me" but every time I bumped that table he was tense... go figure.

Pat, My little bird has been on some long car trips, more than 12 hours. She used to swing her head from side to side and vomit even on short trips, but I covered her cage with a black fleece blanket and uncovered just one side that let her see me the whole time and that is her best way to ride comfortably in the car. She is very very quiet still in the car but blocking out some of the overstimulating stuff seemed to be the magic solution in her case. Good luck with Darius becoming your co-pilot.

I love how you put it "progress is being made" rather than saying Roddy is making progress at not biting. He is making progress at teaching you to understand his communication... when will that human ever be trained to listen to me. LOL You are a few steps ahead of me to make him the happiest bird alive, so I will learn from you.

It looks like he is protecting himself with armor while he sleeps, like he is wearing a helmet. I could not have pictured this in my mind, thanks so much for the stealth photo. What a character.

Mocha enjoyed his bath and I enjoyed Mocha. The next video of Koko at the playground in his harness was also a treat. When I heard the children laughing in the background I thought how sweet it will be if he mimicks that later. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on bringing Henry home. What a special time in your life to experience the awe and wonder of this fascinating little character. We are like the ultimate grandma brag book group to share your experiences. Once you get him settled and comfortable, we are going to love seeing pictures.
