1. We love all the Beak Appetit varieties. That looks yummy Spock!
2. Congratulations on bringing Avy into your life. I love that she knows her bedtime and lets everyone else know it too. Her pictures are lovely. It will be fun to watch her personality blossom while your family gets to know her.
3. Would you believe, I haven't talked to his surrogate mama to set an exact time when he is coming. That is soooo out of character for me. They have a seven hour drive and business to tend here, so I will be patient and when the time is right, he will be here. You know, it has to be hard to let these guys go after carefully tending their needs for five months. Yes, I am excited and a little nervous too that we have an uneventful transition. You will see the first pictures, I can hardly wait to get a picture of my boy to replace that avatar!

Post edited by: katana600, at: 2009/11/04 14:03
4. Life is always more interesting when you leave the beaten path... or front window of the pet store. Glad you went in and found Breeze. Keep her away from the phones and credit cards... she sounds like the old episodes of the alien Alf placing her fast food orders. Congratulations to you both for introducing this little doll into your lives. Enjoy.
5. It sure would be hard to choose a favorite among his work. Thanks Dan.
6. Your very own moon Judy, what an honor. This was the best shots of the moon I have ever seen. I missed the seagull completely even with watching several times. I don't know how you timed that cloud at the end Bernie, but it was a perfect fade out.
7. You all have come up with some good ideas. The combination of making the spot less attractive and less accessible and giving something different to focus on and expend energy like extra sticks sounds key to diverting them. I have read that the chewing of wood is related to nesting and showing a prospective mate her superior abilities. Could she be trying to tell you she is your chosen one, or maybe even trying to impress the newcomer? Hang in there, this too shall pass.
8. Nothing says Spock's flock like a shared tuna sandwich. I like the picture with his eyes half closed, like he is shutting out his sight to focus all his senses on the taste of that yummy tuna. P.S... good one Judy... the little ham
9. Aww Cleo sounds like a real doll. When she is attacking the bits of fluff, it reminds me of when some people find their first gray hair and attack it and pull it out. LOL. Ack, some nutty bird is raining feathers on me, make it stop!
10. He really is making a sport of that sandwich. It makes me want one too. That is a good picture of Fred just enjoying life.
11. This had to be my best laugh fest ever. These are are the daily chuckles that animal lovers everywhere see one at a time in our homes. I love the ones that are captured on video to share. Well.. maybe not the pandas in our homes, just through the internet. Thanks.
12. This is as exciting as if it were my own first born taking first steps. What a way to start our day to think of the elation you are experiencing with Chimay. So... can you whistle?
13. They are soooo adorable in your hands. I still check in on them every day. Sometimes I have seen them flat out just sleeping all sprawled out. Sometimes they cuddle close and are just precious. This has been a marvelous journey to watch them get to the size Juno was when we first held him. Thanks so much for sharing this to give us an appreciation of what you have gone through to raise them.
14. We all love this little character, but she is certainly full of herself. I know we are going to have our hands full when Juno gets here, but have nothing but time to make the best of it and make sure she is still able to enjoy her freedom in safety while they both learn to coexist. Thanks to everyone on the forum, I have some good ideas which may help and will take it slow to allow each of them to reach a happy place and share our time and our home.
15. It really does go to show that each situation calls for a different approach. You and your vet have gone through a lot of effort to understand Ursula's communication device. It is similar to some humans consuming milk or other food product and getting healthful vitamins and some being lactose intolerant and having to seek an alternate way to get those nutrients. I think the important thing is your willingness to work together with your vet to use the tools available to watch the whole system and tinker with the food types until Ursula feels good and is getting a varied nutritious diet. Congratulations on the effort it has taken for you to get this sorted.
16. Aww. At first I thought it was the world's toughest peanut shell and the more I watched, sure enough a little rawhide. He is so cute with that, it is something I would have never considered for a parrot, but it is on the list now.
17. Maya is such a pretty vibrant looking CAG. Congratulations on getting an "experienced" bird. She will surely teach you a lot of things. In the meantime, while she is surveying her new kingdom, there are a lot of really helpful people with loads of experience on this forum. Thanks for the pictures. Looking forward to lots more when Maya gets more settled with you.
18. Bernie, I will patiently wait for your power and control to come together and make this flame boat race. I am not going to let up on naming her and giving her a proper ceremony to stop the jinx. There you go for another name jinx minx.
19. Isn't that Harvey just a dream boat, he took Jill to the beach! Glad it was a success. I am getting myself rehearsed for those pigeon comments. Indeed. Yes madam, he is indeed close to the pigeon species... hmmm... kind of like you and an orangutan.... no, on second glance... not THAT close actually. LOL.
20. The first decades of waiting were the easiest, I never thought it would be possible to get everyone in the family on board for the grey commitment. It seems like a really long time ago in July when I held a little chick and was told late October at best for delivery. I made sure to go out of town and get all my traveling out of my system for a while, but the final week is brutal. Just kidding of course, I know I've been ready a long time, but this little guy is coming and his whole world is changing in one day. As he leaves Ann and his brothers, I just want to keep them all. I have been sensible so far though.
21. David and Alfie have their act rehearsed and are ready for the funniest videos. They both are having fun and relaxed. Thanks for a good laugh.

Wow, you have a working boy. Great ideas to interact with him and train him to bring things to you instead of hoarding them in his cage. He really is showing you his abilities and so young too. Glad you are having fun and success with him.
23. I can just picture her saying "catch me if you can" as she darts from one spot to the next. Maybe that little fluff on top of her head is not a curl after all, maybe that is her "wild hair". Really, I think she is just gleeful, life is good and Alfie has the life.
24. Just look at that coy little vixen. She looks like she is saying "Aw, it was nothing, just a little updo style."
25. Ohh no, it is awful for your little mini. At least the culprit stopped. The autobody shops are magical, your mini will come back good as new.
