Hi Sievj..my goes out for you and your bird...i will really pray for her tonight...Ive been there like you before and I know how heart tearing it is but I really hope that Sherlock gets out of this healthy. Im glad you kept her at the facility and I hope the vet tomorrow is really an expert and he can find a cure. You said her crop is gulging with fluids, but does that mean she is drinking a lot? is she still urinating, because if she is, it means that fluids are passing through her system. When was the last time she ate and what did she eat. You need to tell that to the vet tomorrow, try to remember any detail you did at home, like insecticide, detergent, medication....this will also be helpful. Also when did her watery stool started? I really hope she gets better soon, just make sure when u call them at the facility that she is kept warm and visit her early morning , Im sure she would like to see you as soon as she wakes up... Please keep us posted and we will all send good prayers your way...

ya...great he bites me small bites sometimes, I dont know why, but he seems more comfortable now with being touched. Anyone knows what I can do to try to file his nails without having bitten or without making him uncomfortable? Hi Ann Marie Congratulations on deciding to have a grey...Its really a great experience and i love every single day with mine I am glad you decided to get a baby. I have had both one baby, unfortunately she had a noncurable disease and passed away. My second is a 4.5 years old. Its totally different when they are adults. I love him but I still think that the baby experience has no equal. There is a lot to read about and learn. I would say just like having a baby where everyday you learn something new. And now we are enjoying full head and neck massage for Kookie...he just relaxes/extends his neck, close his eyes and enjoys a 3 minute scratch & rub all over his head, around his eyes and nostrils, nder his neck and all...I just hope he will allow me touch his feet like that so that I can file his nails which are drawing maps on my hands...LOL {Nature-00020095}{Nature-00020095}

Hi Bebo I am not sure about those, perhaps some other members have more information. Just wanted to tell you in case you know someone in UAE (Abu Dhabi or Dubai) you can ask them to get you some Antimite bird spray from here. They can find at the British vet clinic or the NAD Al Shiba Falcon hospital... As for the spray you have, if prescribed by vet, then should be ok, You can double check with another vet if possible. Or just try it out on a small spot of skin first, maybe the bottom of leg just to see if its ok with your bird and is not irritating his skin...wait about half day and if its not disturbing him, try spraying at other spots...Please stay away from head (eyes, ears, beak and nostrils) {Nature-00020095} Keep us posted

Kookie is 5 years now, hes bben with me since 1.5 months. He didnt like to be touched before but now hes very happy when I scratch him. It takes time to trust and bond I guess and every day we closer... I wonder If he would stay with me till hes 35, I would be 68 then... {Nature-00020095}{Nature-00020095}

I would go to the vet immediately..bcs if this is after diarreaha and if shes not eating, I would be concerned, dont wait much and please keep us posted

Im glad that you have established a good relation with Boo...I know its not easy...he will say very funny things when he is practicing...just encourage him and talk to him...it will get clearer. When hes hungry he will eat, just watch what hes eating,and watch his weight. try the things he likes like oranges, apple, a grape, an almond or peanut...offer him in some time and it will be ok. My grey he likes it when I say good bird to him...so every time i put food in his plate and at the minute he picks one piece I would say enthusiastically GOOD BIIIIRD and he is happy and starts to eat... {Nature-00020095}{Nature-00020095}
