  1. Welcome to the Grey Family Turzzock! Looking forward to learning more about your flock!
  2. If Harley were my grey, I would take him to an avian vet to see if there are an health problems that have cropped up.
  3. The Major Mitchells are from Australia. My granddaughter is an Aussie, perhaps I can talk her into a Mitchell for my birthday. (ha)
  4. What a little cutie! Boy or girl Calliope is a great name!
  5. Looking forward to your pictures. I would love to have an aviary!
  6. Oh be strong Nancy and keep looking don't give up.
  7. Too cool! Wish my parront had one or two or three for us as Sterling Gris is a bully and Ana Grey thinks she is queen. Darn air conditioning anyway! Way too go Nilah maybe I'll take an outdoor adventure and head your way for a spin or two!
  8. My parrots will stick with their Dr. Flock spray: Aloe Vera juice and cold water. They love it and I keep in my refrigerator where it is nice and cold. They see the spray bottle and immediate climb to the top of their cages' outer perches and open their wings for a good total spraying.
  9. I am excited for all three of you. I can't wait to hear more and more about these now lucky greys.
  10. It wants me to login and I do not belong to that site.
  11. Great news! Will be looking forward to hearing more.
  12. Well to me an ouch is an ouch is an ouch no matter who delivers it! So far I have only had little nips from my zon or greys so I consider myself very lucky.
  13. Very interesting pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us!
  14. Never kiss my parrots but mine (except my re-homed zon) kiss me on the cheek. They just touch their beaks to my cheek. I watch them very closely and turn my face so my eyes/mouth/nose are not available. No open beaks or the kissing would certainly stop. As for Louie, the zon, he is a biter and I never trust him near my face.
  15. Awww the great State of Washington, where you can legally shoot off aerial fireworks and smoke Cannabis Sativa on the 4th of July! Happy Independence Day fellow Americans. Got to love this Country!
  16. Have you tried darkening the room. I have an easier time getting my three flighted parrots to go into their cages if I dim the lights/close the room drapes and talk gently to them.
  17. My TAG used a hut when she was months old. Now the hut is just around somewhere. No one likes or cares about.
  18. Perhaps your grey does not recognize you. Talk to her and let her know it's you. If that does not work, I would try another hairstyle. Your grey just doesn't like the new do! (smile0
  19. Great news on getting Penny home. It is very apparent that she wanted to come home and be with you. She was determined to find you. I would suggest micro-chipping Penny rather than clipping. They so love to fly and I believe it gives them confidence to be able to fend for themselves in a unsafe situation. So please take a deep breath and think about it. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
  20. Thanks on the update on the homecoming of Duke and Duchess. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
  21. Why to you think this California born lives in Washington State! Californians are fast and hot!
  22. Aww come on now Talon, Josh came down because Nilah called him. Josh's knows the proper authority ladder in the household! Ahh Ha!
  23. Thanks for the update on Cricket. She certainly does sound like a shoulder ornament. As you know my BF zon is a 5-year-old male. They certainly are different from females, sounds like. Louie is very observant and tries very hard to do as I ask of him. He is a re-home also who belonged to the husband and was banished by the females of the household when the husband became ill. Louie is still trying to trust me. I love his gorgeous eyes as they are a soft brown and very active. I can't touch Louie, but he can touch me and loves to preen my hair. He is the favorite of all the family and friends. Go figure the parrot no one can touch is the most loved. People! Would love to see some pictures of Cricket, she sounds like "Ray's girl".
  24. My CAG is a scarey cat so I have a habit of talking to my parrots and calling them by naming and just chatting away before I enter their bird room. They are then relaxed and know it is me. All the little "tricks" we need to invent/think up to be able to live peacefully with our parrots. Got to luv 'hem.
