Michellec, I have a TAG and a CAG. Both of which I have had since weaned. There is oodles of information in the threads here. You should do some readings and assess for yourself which one you think might help in your endeavor. My opinion each bird is different and there is no real way of telling which will be fearful and which not. All will bite if provoked.

Pellets, let's see. Ana Grey makes dust at all the pellets she gets. All of them. Louie eats the large green ones and round orange ones and ignores the small ones. Sterling Gris will eat only the round orange ones, tosses the green ones on the floor and leaves the small round ones in the bowl. I fed Zupreem Veggie Blend. Honestly, they prefer the nuts and seeds and human food I give them.

As an advocate of micro-chipping, my pets (dog & parrots) are micro-chipped and my canary's leg ring numbers and information saved in my files, I applaud this post!

I thought about letting people know that I have parrots/birds so I let my neighbors and their older children know that if I am not home and there is a fire in my home, they should if it is safe just let my parrots/birds all loose. I would rather have them out in the trees (there are oodles of very tall evergreen trees about my home) than dead from smoke. I will not mark my windows or doors because now a days there are too many dishonest people out there out to make/steal a buck whenever they can. I would not want anyone to break in and steal my parrots.

My greys have been around with my young grandson and Ana Grey would sit on the back of my chair while I give JJ his bottle when he was a baby. All my parrots like to watch my grandkids and my youngest feeds them pistachios and my parrots accept them... no bites. Parrots, I believe know that young kids are "different". My parrots have "favorites" around the grandkids... ones they will go to and ones they reject.

I waited about 3 months. The breeder would not let her babies go until they had been fully weaned and eating without formula for a full week at least. She even would "clip" her babies nails so they would be use to the action and handled them every day. Love that lady.

Where in Texas was that again friend..... (smile)
