  1. Look in our Health Room, there is oodles of information about Aloe Vera there. I use it on my three parrots, just because they like it.
  2. My CAG, Sterling Gris, is 2 and can repeat a word and phrase instantly. Now my TAG, Ana Grey is 5 and she only more or less says "I want a nut" or "You want a nut" that's it. She can talk just decided not to because Sterling Gris just won't shut up. Go figure! Now my neighbors male ekkie (at least 10 years) in the last two years has decided to talk. So never say never.
  3. Koko is lucky to have you as his parront. He looks great!
  4. Welcome Smokey! Great name for your boy!
  5. Much too cute!!! Thanks for sharing your new baby with us!
  6. Yes, both of my greys: TAG, female (5) and CAG,male (2) are snugglers.
  7. Looking forward to hearing more about Koko.
  8. My neighbor has an older male ekkie (at least 10+) He rides around on his owner's shoulder cuddled in his owner's neck, and sits with him to watch tv.
  9. Oh, I am no help, I am 67 and my oldest grey is 5 and youngest is 2.
  10. Welcome to the Grey family Rita! Looking forward to learning more about you and your grey, Pepper. Pictures, please, if you get the chance.
  11. What no balut eggs? In the Philippines that's a delicacy.
  12. I believe our greys/parrots are intuitive and know instinctively how we are feeling. I find my three parrots always watching and I believe they know what is going on. Your grey has great compassion and wants to help alleviate any suffering/bad feelings that she senses.
  13. Well Paco can be a male or female name so you lucked out. Congratulations on your little girl!
  14. I have been retired since getting my three parrots. I do not keep them out all the time. Some days I leave them in their cages until evening and then let them out until bed time. They need time alone and so do I. As long as you get them use to a routine all will be fine. It is the quality of time that counts.
  15. Hi Rajah, just calm down and treat her (what is her name?) as you always have. She remembers you, believe me and she is unsure if you will "abandon" her again. Talk to her and treat her like you always have. I believe she will calm down. So relax and enjoy your sweet grey and the life you will have once she is certain you will not desert her again.
  16. I consider myself very lucky as my three love to be sprayed and open their feathers to help get them soggy!
  17. You could candle it at some point. Hold it up to candle light and have a look see.
  18. As long has there is no snow/ice. I'm okay with the cold. House is cozy. If it looks like snow/ice, I stock up on food goods and stay in.

    Juice?

If I am drinking juice, and one of the gang asks for a sip, they get one. Ana Grey, Tag, loves to steal a little orange juice. Not much but a drink or two.
  20. Well Gabriela is a lovely name. Can't wait to hear if Gilbert is a guy!
  21. Oh thanks for reminding me Nancy. As for screaming, none of my three really scream. Ana Grey never; Sterling Gris, loves to talk, and Louie, the zon will let out a belt once in a while just to clear his pipes, I believe. Louie does not scream for long periods of times. Just a loud one or two.
  22. I love this sign! I need one for my front yard!!!!
  23. Welcome to you and Petri, Amanda. Ask all the questions you like, forum members love to help. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of Petri.
  24. Way to go Wilbur! This is wonderful news. Just be careful and don't break the trust that is growing between you and Wilbur. Nice and slow, Grey Time!
