A month a go I made the hard decision to get cracker my tiel clipped. He was far to interested in the grey and I could not risk a disaster. Well it has turned out a better decision than I had hoped for. My vet who is not a fan of clipping had no reservations when I explained the reason why. He clipped him being sure he could still fly a bit. He can actually fly quite well but I now have a lot more controle of him and hear is the icing on the cake, his nasty disposition has changed. He has transformed from a little terror into a very sweet loving little cockatiel. He has made himself a little comfy spot on the mantle piece by the clock where he likes to hang out. He can fly over to me for head scritches and his biting is much reduced. I am now glad I had him clipped, I was not really happy having to do it but it really has worked out for the best all round. Cracker is happier because he has a lot more out of cage time and I am not a nervous wreck.

Post edited by: she, at: 2008/11/02 11:29
