I am pleased you came to this decision.You are doing right with the vet check.The best advise I can offer is take it slow. Just go at Pacos pace and let him decide when he is ready to move things on. Let him adjust to his new home He will let you give head scritches and such when he is ready. Ask about his diet and feed what he is used to.If he is coming with his own cage that should help the transition. If not have his new cage all ready for him and try and bring with him some of his old toys and perches for his new cage to make him feel at home.

This should be a great room. Charlie loves to demolish a paper back book after I have read it. The mess is unbelievable but it keeps him entertained for ages. His favourite toy is an acrilic triangle that plays a tune when he presses a button on it. You can purchase extra tunes and replace them . He is really obsessed with it.I am looking for some of the old wooden cotten reels you could get at one time.He also likes wooden spoons to chew up.

Charlie always askes "who made that mess" when I am cleaning his cage.I never seem to stop cleaning up the cages.They get a paper change and wipe down, including perches twice a day and they get a thorough clean every week. I could have shares in a paper towel company and I use countless amounts of those little dish scrubbies.Cracker becomes obsessed with his feed dishes when I clean his cage and he askes "what ya doin".

My Brother in law came this morning and put up some new light fittings in the living room for me.Well, realised one of the shades was missing so I had to go back to the shop.I was not pleased. I got the shade no problem, just the inconveniance. I am pleased with them though.MY friend came round with her little boy with a cake he had made for me. A little iced fairy cake which he promptly ate himself but he did want to give the birds some so they must be in his good books.He is so sweet.

This is normal common behaviour. I also remove the grill from the bottom of the cage.

I am thrilled you are enjoying Cooper so much.

They are gorgious greys.How do they get on together?

This sounds a bit early to me.I would guess 12-16 weeks is the average.I would advise anyone getting a baby to ensure it is fully weaned,it is a very specialised part of a babys life and is best left to the experts.

Thanks for the update.You are doing so well with Brutus.It is so important to socialise at a young age. He is a lucky bird.

Thats a big bird.I thought my charlie was big at 500gm,He is around 5- 6 years old.

Good idea Caroline. I got in to work at 6.15 am and had a coffee, well got to get my priorities right.We had a fire in work the other morning so we were all standing in the cold for about 2 hours and then it was all to the canteen till the smoke had been cleared up a bit.It was just a bin off the ovens that had gone on fire but the smoke was unbelievable. For those who dont know I am a fork lift truck driver in a biscuit factory. I could still smell the smoke today a bit.I have just had dinner and I am chilling out for a bit. charlie and Cracker are out and for a change they are being very good and just clambering round their cages.

Thanks for the update. Ice sounds as if he has landed right on his feet. You must be so thrilled at this progress
