1. Thats great news.My two go in the kitchen sink and get spreyed, they love that.Just proves they are all individuals, some owners have trouble showering their birds.cant wait to see the video.
2. Had a good laugh reading this.It seems like Nicky really had a good day.Sorry you are in the dog house. I am sure they will laugh eventually.

Post edited by: she, at: 2008/11/01 21:28
3. Love the pumpkins Berna.Your eye lashes are cool.
4. You can not guarantee two birds will get on at all, let alone enough to share a cage.If you decide to get another bird expect them not to get along and if they do it will be a bonus.Seperate cages are usually neededin most cases. It could also go the other way and the greys become besoted to each other and loose a bit of interest in humans, this is also an extreme example.
5. No It does not sound normal. If she is really upchucking she needs to see a ver imediately. There are many causes but two coming to mind are sour crop and metal poisoning. Both need prompt vet care. Let us know how you get on
6. Hello Nikki, welcome. I hope you like it hear as much as I do.I think you have already been given good advise with regards your two parrots. I would not worry too much about your grey being a bit quiet. As you say she is taking everything in and greys are known to be one of the quieter parrot species .I am looking forward to hearing more about your birds and maybe some photos. Sheila.
7. Congratulations to you all. I know you will do a great job.
8. Take your time. thats the best advise anyone can offer. Let the bird dictate the pace you go at.Open the cage and just let him wonder out in his own time. It will happen once he is more at home. Everything you do should be aimed at building trust. If it is not trust building, dont do it. The trust bank idea is a great one. Put the trust in but never draw out. Good luck. Sheila
9. Well you have really thought things through and You really want this bird so I think I can make a good guess as to the outcome. I can feel the excitment now.Lets see the pictures as soon as you can
10. Very well put caroline. Grey ownership is not for the faint hearted. If everyone researched about them first I am sure a lot less would be passed from home to home.
11. You could be right pat.I am not at all up on breeding.
12. I am glad he got back to you.I am not sure about the breeding problem but my guess is that it would affect tigger.I assume introducing them may start a breeding reaction. I share your views on keeping Tigger as a pet.I still urge caution. On saying that from what you have been told the bird is not as bad as first thought.

Thats also why I am not fond of the bright coloured pellet feeds. They look good but I would sooner go for more natural food.
14. Way to go Pat. Fantastic update.

I have looked at the ingredients on the packets and I suspect it could be the artificial colours that make Charlie go a bit hyper, rather like children when they get too many e numbers.
16. Tell us all about you b/g in the anyother bird room. I love macaws but havent the space for one.
17. Erica if anyone can do it you can.Word of warning though,You may be landed with a heap of vets bills,Plucking is usually a psycological problem but medical reasons need to be ruled out, this means blood work and other tests.I would also advise a very strict quarantine untill any illness is ruled out to protect the rest of your flock. Even if the cause is psycological it can still cost a fortune trying different appproaches to help the condition. Good luck. I am sure you will come to the right decision .
18. Hi and welcome.Lots of tips and advise in the nursery and training room.Just ask any questions you have and I am sure you will have no shortage of help and advise. Sheila
19. I love it Dave.Are you marketing it.Ill have 2.

Hi Ina. I cant wait for the grey party.what a scream, haha.I can just imagine a room full of birds all squabling over the birthday cake. Sheila
22. We had an cat called Timmy, we rescued him from a shelter. He followed me everywhere.NO DOG WOULD PASS HIM. they were terrified of him. He would shake paws like a dog. His funniest trick was to get on the banister of the stairs and drop down on you as you passed.
23. You are right to be cautious letting Sassy on your shoulder. As has already been said it depends on the bird.Animalspirit was spot on in her assesment, showing the verious temprements and state of mind of her different birds, proving they are as individual as you and I.I do let my grey on my shoulder but only at times I know he is in a sweet mood and as far as I know can be trusted. There are times when I would never let him up there.I can see you falling big time for this sweet little bird, Sheila.
24. I am glad you feel a bit more at ease.I am sure all will be fine.
