Some great pictures!

Mine love pasta! They also love their sugar snap peas! These have to be included in breakfast every morning or they would be sulking!

Nims, This is a wonderful update about Ice! You have come a long way and acheived so much in such a short space of time! You should be feeling really proud of yourself and I can tell you love him so much! Keep the updates coming and I cant wait to see some pictures if you get your new camera.

He could still be 4 months, its hard to say for sure though! If he is just losing the white fluffy feathers, greys can lose these all the time. My baby is always losing them and you will find them on the cage bottom or on the side of the cage. Greys normally start their first molt from about 8 months onwards, they are all different. My middle grey has just started his molt and he is 9 months. Sometimes they can molt for a few months others it can be a continuous molt. Its always worrying when you find feathers and you are unsure but the baby feathers are normal and I dont think you have anything to worry about.
-
Congratulations on your new baby! This is all normal, some babies will adapt easier than others. Everything is new to your baby, surroundings, people etc and its going to take him a good few weeks to settle in and get used to everything. Dont rush things with him, let him get used to you, talk to him in a nice soft voice, this will help him gain your trust. There are lots of threads in the Nursery which you may find useful including one on bringing your baby grey home. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-nursery/72855-bringing-home-your-baby-grey.html Hope this will help! Enjoy your new baby. Caroline.

This is my baby Jasper, this picture was taken when he was about 6 months old, his eyes had just changed to the silvery colour. Hope the picture helps as a guide! Caroline.
-
What colour are his eyes? That is normally how to tell how old the baby could be. Are they still black? The small downy feathers you are finding in the cage are quite normal, dont worry about this. Have you found any larger feathers or is it only the small ones you are worried about? Try and post a picture if you can, it helps for us to see, we could also look at the babies eyes as well. They are normally black then will change to a silvery grey colour when they get to about 6-7 months.

Yes, I agree with Jane. My greys are all different ages and if you could here all three you would tell the difference in speech. My 9month old grey still is unclear with a lot of his words but the elder grey who is 18 months is very clear except for the new words he is learning. Just lots of practise thats all.

Hi everyone, Sounds like you had a good day Sheila. I have my sons nativity play at school tomorrow, its a nativity but set in the 1940's so should be interesting! The kids have a busy week so like usual, mum will be playing taxi driver free of charge! They have all their school discos and parties this week and my son Brads has his Karate grading at 9 o clock on Sunday morning! I hope he passes and gets his belt! Not been up to much. I have woke up full of cold today so not feeling to great! It seems a few of us on here are a bit under the weather. Feeling a bit more festive now, roll on christmas:) Hope everyone has had a good day. Caroline.

Hiya Snakeye, I am including a link which may help in introducing new toys to your baby. Some babies will be scared by new things so remember to introduce them slowly. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-nursery/104327-introducing-new-toys.html Good luck. Caroline.

Dave you are fantastic!

I am so pleased that this has worked for your baby. Try other things mashed as well! Sweet potatoes are a good one, mine love these. Have a look in the bird food room to give you some more ideas, you can always try some baby foods as well. Please keep us updated, I am really happy that things have settled down. Caroline.

My eldest Charlie has learnt how to say "be nice" thats what I always say if he goes for a little nip! So I thought it was rather sweet today when he kept telling me to be nice. He also kept asking my youngest grey to get his dinner! All I kept hearing was "Jasper get me dinner! Wheres me dinner?" They are so funny:laugh:

Hiya Debbie, its great you have joined us! The others have offered some good advice for both you and Cha Cha. Just a thought about the glass doors, could you possibly have blinds made for them or put some kind of decorative stickers on? This is what I do with mine. I dont know if you can handle your grey yet but when you can, take him over and tap on the glass to show him it is an object! I cant wait to hear more about you and your flock I am so pleased you could join us here. Caroline.

Congratulations! I think its still exciting when my boys learn a new word now, but those first words are the best!

I am so glad that Cloudy is eating a lot better! Every grey has different amounts of formula/food at different ages, there are only guidelines that can be given but it sounds like Cloudy is a happy content grey! You are doing a great job! Thanks for the update, do you have any recent photos of Cloudy? Caroline.

Janet, Is Ana grey her name now? Have you decided? Love the pictures, they are fantastic! I know how much you love this little baby of yours, you are a great mom!
