I was giving Jeepers some Quality one on one time and Fergie know she's not allowed to come to me when I'm playing with another bird. So she was doing her very best to distract me. She can be such a little brat but I love her so much.

This was my cat Odin he was a coon cat he was one very large cat this was him as a kitten someone stole him when he was about 2 yrs old I'm not a cat person but he was my baby and It totally broke my heart. This was my daughters cat Jock this cat was a total bird killer he actually had to have his tail amputated because he tried to get to some baby birds in their nest and mommy and daddy bird literally shredded his tail cost me 400. to have his tail cut off. Skittles reminds me so much of Adaya she loves to be on her back also. I wonder why some birds like it so much and other won't roll over even if their life depended on it. I have to be totally vigilant when I'm playing with Adaya because she will flip over onto her back without warning and I got to be ready to catch her. She is such a silly bird.

This is Tyco very angry she yelling at Fergie to get off her stuff she says get off go away and Fergie is laughing at her it was very funny to watch.

Please make sure you update us after the vet appoinment on Saturday I'll be waiting patiently to hear if all is well

Maybe when you call your boy friend you can get him to put the phone up close to Willis so he can at least hear your voice everyday and you can reassure him that you will be home soon. Make sure you tell them which foods Willis can't have and I'm sure he will be fine. have fun on your vacation.

I love them so much the are so beautiful In my opinion there are very few birds that match their beauty the Bald Eagle is one the Black Palm Cockatoo is another and all 3 are way to much bird for me.

When will you find out if the baby is male or female. I'm very curious now. So please keep us updated as soon as you know.

Oh yes definatly camera shy he hates the camera its hard to get a good picture of him because he tends to get scared and fluff up his feathers. In this video he did really well I guess he felt safe being on my arm because he didn't puff up like he usually does. I'm so proud of him he's such a good boy.

Jeeper's and I sitting down relaxing he just loves to sit on my arm or shoulder if I let him he would be on me all day long. I'm sure someone must have swapped birds in the middle of the night because he used to lunge and bite every chance he got now he's as gentle as a kitten. I don't think your weird at all my bird cages are open from 9am till 9pm and they don't get locked in their cages unless I have to work I only work 3 nights a week from 5pm till 11pm so the most they are ever in their cages is 4 hours because after that its bedtime anyway and most times not even then because my 14 yr old daughter is home. I won't won't put them in their cages unless absolutely necessary and for the most part it's not.

I have 2 Greys one baby and one rescued 6 yr old they get along OK and it hasn't changed anything between me and my birds they are still just as bonded to me as they where before. Let the birds figure things out for themselves. don't try to put them together let them out and if they choose to get together themselves that great. I usually find that to be the best you may have to intervene if they one tries to hurt the other but for the most part they will learn to either bond or at least tolerate each other and respect each others space I have 5 birds and they all have out time together and I don't have any problems at all with it they are a flock they are all totally bonded to me yes they have friendships with other birds but they all love me best. I also treat each bird separately the first bird always get food and attention 1first all the way down there is a pecking order I got Fergie first she will always be number 1 then Tyco, then Raja then Jeepers then my baby Adaya. Fergie's always 1st to get uncovered in the morning and last to get covered at night. If you do it right you won't get to much jealousy or resentment and your birds will find there place in the flock. LOL it looks like you got a bird just like my Tyco she doesn't make big holes but she loves to peel the paint and chip away at the wood trim.

They aren't anymore work they do like to shread rolled up newspaper and chew on wood I just sweep it all up when he's done actually I find he keeps his cage allot cleaner they don't throw food like the Grey's do so in that way they are easier and there poop is about the same as a Grey the Severe macaw is about the same size as a Grey not as heavy though its just that long tail that makes them look so much bigger. That's so cute I had a Conure that used to like to ride around on my dogs back. he had long hair and I use to have to watch because you couldn't see Luna on his with all the hair around his neck so every time he went outside we had to make sure Luna wasn't hiding in there somewhere:laugh: I love that little basket play gym that you made its just the most perfect little thing for smaller birds. Yea I'm going to have to make some ceiling protectors the only problem with that spot is that its a bay window so the ceiling is low there I have made a couple with 2in pvc I just put caps on the ends and them eye hooks in the caps they work well usually make them 12 inches long but I'm sure 6or7 inches will work just as well.

I totally missed this thread and I was looking forward to these pics because I saw the thread that you where going it looks like a fantastic rescue the birds look so beautiful and happy that is quite the place. I wish I had the money to do something like that for the birds in this part of the world. What a nice place if you don't have anywhere for your bird to go when you pass on its almost like a retirement home for birds if something like that is needed.
