1. Blue quaker pairs well have 100% blue quaker babies. Now if one is blue and one is green you well get 50/50 but thats out of a 100 so that means a whole clutch can be green. Split blue to blue half visual blues, 25% green and 25% split to blues. Split to blue pairs well get your 50% visual blues and 50% split to blues. Ok that is all I know about that. lol
2. Ok the movie was to long. So I made it shorter. It is now around 6 minutes long and it has been loading for over an hour.
3. The vidio is giving me issue. To long for photobucket and photobucket wont do my sound. And taking forever with youtube. Tried to clip the movie but then youtube won't even up load not the right format. /grrrr
4. Got a movie uploading. Wanted to get them to talk or sing but all you get to hear is me singing and talking. lol I'll post the link when it is done. You'll be able to see that the bad toe don't slow Buster down at all at least. Here is Buster.
5. Birds pluck for many reasons. Have you tried extra baths? Aloe added to food or in the bath water? Preening toys? Moving the cage? Seems to me if you think the bird still has Guardia that the vet should just renew the meds. Also that is caused by a bug in the water so I would start boiling your water your bird drinks or use bottle watered. Well not tetracycline work for Guardia? Or maybe some other over the counter drug? I would hope you being out of work is just temporary and would hate for you to give up your bird over it.

Post edited by: Tari, at: 2008/03/03 19:13
6. Aww thank you so much for sharing. Cute alert.:cheer:
7. Saw anouther one of those "Baby on the way, Parrot has to go." Rehomes. I don't have kids but for some reason this always makes me mad. You don't get rid of the other child when a baby comes so why get rid of the parrot when the baby comes. I have looked and looked for info on babies and parrots and there is just not anything on the net. I did find this about Children and Parrot and I think it would pretty much work with babies too. http://www.companionparrot.com/Parrots%20and%20Children.htm Would be nice if someone wrote something on Babies and Parrots though.
8. I well get some new pictures of him/her tomorrow to post. I believe s/he is about 6 months old in those and you can really see his bad toe in those too. As you can see he can still perch.
9. Sold to the lady that lives in NY. lol I'll have to get in touch with the airlines and get with you on the final cost. But consider the bird yours. Oh and look I found some more pitures.
10. Tari

True love

They are so pretty. Really like the green on the green one. :side:
11. Here is a picture. You can see the bad toe it is on his right foot. He should have two forward and two back. But he has 3 forward and one back. He is left footed so does not slow him down any. He can perch, climb, and hold food just like any other parrot. It may need an extra trim from time to time but he is pretty good about letting me do it.

Post edited by: Tari, at: 2008/03/02 23:16
12. Sent you a private message about cost and stuff also sent you a list of all the things s/he says. I did forget to mention this bird has one toe that did not turn back. But it in no way slows him down or causes any problems. He is a very sweet bird and very tame. I do not DNA cause I wanted to sell him as a pet not a breeder. Most breeders around here only DNA babies if they plan to keep one or two for breeding. One breeder pair is more then enough for me. lol My Blues are raised in my home and not mass produced. (only raised four last year) So they start talking early and are tame when they leave my house. I think we can ship in April if we don't have a cold snap.
13. Yep I am in Mississippi and it is the wrong time of the year to ship. Never done that either mostly cause it adds about 100.00 to the cost of the bird. Did you call any of those breeders? They might also have birds still tame left over from last summer.
14. Awwww thank you for sharing.
15. LOL you have to be careful what you say to them. That is to funny.
16. Thanks everyone. He is so cute I just want to hug him but that just would not be a good idea. lol First he would not let me. Second he would bite me if I made him. He thinks he is an amazon.:woohoo:
17. lol believe it or not some people think that is loud. He is so cute and getting closer and closer to being tame. He no longer moves when I open the door and if something is in my hand he well come check it out. Still wont let me get to close yet with my bare hand though. Maybe in a month or so.
