Hmmm I was always told not to over do the toys. I only keep three in my greys cage. I try to remember to at least remove one ever other week and replace it with a new one. He is not much of a toy bird. Might peck at them sometimes. Mostly he chews up his rope perches. Have to replace it about ever 4 to 6 months.

Oh no I feel for you. Waiting is not a stong point for me either. That is why most my birds were older when I got them. My TAG was 6 months old and the first buyer had backed out.(They had been making payments so all I had to do was pay what was owed.) My Q was 7 years old and my amazon was 18 years old. I hate waiting for anything. lol I must agree your special baby must not be in that clutch.

From what I have read about greys in the wild they don't get all happy about rain like an amazon. They just sit there and take it. That is how my Que does. She well let me mist her but just sort sits there. She doesn't run from it but does not get happy either. She well take a bath in a small bowl. If I put a bowl in there big enough to really get her wet she wont have a thing to do with it. It has to be a small bowl. She'll hope in then hope out and run back up to the top of the cage then work her way down again hop in and run back up. lol It's like she dont want to get seen in the bowl.

Mine is named Que. I named her that cause my next bird was suppose to be a blue quaker and I was going to name it Q. But then I got this call from a bird club member about this 6 month old TAG whose owner back out of the sale and she needed a forever home soon cause of her age and to make room for the new babies. So she got the quakers name but with a little change on the spelling. I am so glad I got her.
