Oddly enough this is one of the few toys I didid not have to hang outside the cage for a week first. I like the cloth tents but my quaker kept chewing it up and I had a friend whose sun got a toe tangled up and had to have the toe removed. This the quaker can have and not ruin and I dont have to worry so much about toes. Lidia wrote:

I always pull them. It stops the bleeding and you dont have to worry about it starting again. PS you can use flour to stop the bleeding. Or a bar of soap. However I have only used soap when I had no flour in the house.<br><br>Post edited by: Tari, at: 2007/07/02 11:51

umm maybe you need to change the water more? Is this bird kept outside or in the house?

I'm working with my 8 year old learning new things. It takes longer but she has picked up a new word so it can be done. I'm not having a lot of luck with the allowing me to touch her but I'm not giving up yet.

Baby as in under 6 months? Could be her feathers are not grown in yet if she is that young. If she is a year or more Id take her to the vet.

Hmm never fed mine any chicken Next time Ill try that. Do you clean off all the chicken meat?

I think it has more to do with your envorments. If I didn't have a husband that runs out of the house willy nilly and if I had a larger house to it wasnt so clutter and if I didn't have dogs and to many things they could get hurt by. I would let mine fly. But I have all those things so for the safety of my birds they are clipped. It also makes for a tamer bird. I got one. My hubby sent me to see a shrink. He told me the way to achieve inner peace is to finish what I started. So far I've finished two bags of chips and a chocolate cake. I feel better already.

No not really. Try to get her to eat veggies too and keep offering the seed mix and a good quality pellet would be a good idea too. As long as she is eating and losing weight she'll be ok.

So is she eating other stuff and just the seeds?
