1. Awww so miss those baby days. But grown up days are fun too.
2. Wow what a sweet heart. I just love pictures thank you for sharing them with us.
3. Aww your a baby. lol Im 43.
4. I missed this phase with my grey she was 6 months old when I got her. But I have dealt with it with quakers. Don't know if this well work with a grey but I use the wobble correction. Not an earthquake but a slight wobble of my hand so that s/he has to stop to keep balance. Works well and then they stop after a while. Biggest thing here is to not react. They love drama and it well teach them to bite if you make a big deal out of it. Some people just sit the bird down away from them and come back later. You have gotten some great advice hopefully you are now armed with enough info to handle this.
5. Well better clean it up before you keyboard gets fried. CD yep I have a lot some people think to much but I guess its my way of making up for no children.
6. Keep offering him different foods. Try different ways of fixing it. Like mashed, cubed, diced, chunked or whatever. A pellet diet would be a good idea. Try warm foods too. Cornbread, wheat toast are good too. Do not give up your bird well be a healthier bird for it. It can take at long time so just keep offering it. Beak grinding is a good thing. As far are how to rehab an older grey you'll have to let someone else give you advice on that I have never done that.

Home Alone

Mine dont really interact. If your worried just leave the TV on or a radio. Not blaring but on so they feel like someone is there. I have heard that some birds love cartoons. Mine have shown no interest in TV but I do leave the radio on if Im going to be gone longer then a couple hours. Not anything wierd like rap or heavy metal dont want to make them crazy. lol Mostly country or easy leasoning for my birds.
8. The fact that you dont have enough money to purchase a bird right now really concerns me. Yes you can get a second hand bird fair cheep but usally they well need new toys new cage and a vet visit so that anough or 500 plus after you spend money one the bird. Even if you buy a healthy baby there is the cage, toys and still the well bird check up and that well run you 300 or more. Then even if you find the bird toys and cage you have to spend around 50 a month (thats if you make a lot of your own toys) on food and toys. And a couple hundred a year on vet bills. So all that being said you cant go wrong with a grey if you can afford one. Good luck
9. Happy Fourth to everyone. Were staying home. Not even going to grill. May step outside to see what kind of fireworks our neighbors do but most just do firecrackers and those are lame. lol

scared of....

I hang stuff outside the cage for a few days. Once Que starts picking at it threw the cage then I can add it in. The jolly ball however went in on the first day. She loves that thing.
11. Yes she is there all the time. He throws stuff on her and yes poops on her and she just lays there. lol She is getting up there in age and dont move a lot. She is 13 years old. That cat you see is my feral pain in the .... To let out my birds I have to lock her up.
12. Thank you so much. That is Topaz my new baby.

16. This is the one Im keeping. I know I have a quaker but he well never be a sweet pet cause of all he has been threw. 17. Ok here it is. The birds dont use anything lower then the bowls so when I redo it Ill be removing those. Also plan to get me a tray/rubbermaid bin to have on the bottom for easier paper changing and stuff so it well be longer and narrower. Does that make sense? But the wraps worked out great and the toy placement has worked like a charm too. This one is 22 x 24 and cost around 50 bucks to make. Next one wont cost so much Ill reuse a lot of this one and wont waste so much pvc now that Im getting the hang of it.

Post edited by: Tari, at: 2007/07/03 23:25
18. I made mine and as soon as the internet stops asking weird and let me load up photopucket Ill post a picture. In the mean time this book IMO is a must have for all parrot owners. parrot-Toys & Play Areas How to put some fun into you Parrot's Life. It is a great book and has some digrams for making you own perch. Which is what I stated out with then designed my own.
19. Lidia It make take months but Im tring to towel train Que again and I think if I can get that done then Ill buy one of those things for her and see If I cant get it on her while she is in a towel. At least thats the plan but right now I don't see it happening anytime soon. With baby parrots in the house she is not getting the towel time she was getting so..... Mabye after breeding season is over Ill start on that again.
20. Thank you. I dont mind at all.
21. I love the idea of taking my Que out on her feather teether but dont think it is going to happen anytime soon. However my new quaker is only 6 weeks old and I have her/him one of those avatar harness on order. So at least Ill be able to take the quaker till I talk the grey into it. lol And later Im goign to get an adventure pack for Que maybe Ill take her in that and the quaker on the harness. lol
