    NO spit up

Yep Topaz has had her first meal with no spit up and she is eating millet. Not only that but today she learned step up. I am so thrilled. And so ready for her to be well and back in a cage so we can play. Today I stared droping the temp in the incubator to get her ready to move out. However got to get her cage outside and clean up really good first.

  9. I have Betta's too. Five right now. They are addictive. lol
  10. Ok here is my suggestion set the cages close together for a few days or weeks. See how that goes then maybe open the doors at the same time and see how that goes. My breeder friend usally just has the cages next to each other for a few months and then the following breeding season like around Feb or March she well just put them together. With her new macaws she just set up she was able to just put them together and had no issues. It't different from bird to bird. Just keep an eye on them. You can expect from fighting and as long as you dont see blood you need to let them work it out. Or they may never fight. Only time well tell. Hope this helps.
  11. Sure wish we had other pet forums but guess that is getting to big. I love my goldfish and wanted to share. This tank has been set up for a year. It is a 75 gallon tank with four goldfish. My largest is a little over 7 inchs from nose to end of tail. The other three are smaller but still growing. I also have a 30 gallon tank with live plants and full of guppies and white cloud mountain minnows.
  12. Ok so you are tring to pair up for breeding then?
  13. Ok you plan to turn your bird into a breeder? If you want you bird to stay your pet my advice would be to keep them in their own cages. As far as interacting I have no clue I don't let any of mine out at the same time. To many things can go wrong. JMO and many people have let their birds "play" together. I just don't.

    problems.

My birds are never higher them me. I need to be able to reach them and some birds can get aggressive if you keep them high. My Green quaker that is a biter is kept very low he dose not bite so much that way. My amazon is very shy so I keep him a little higher but no more then eye level. All my other birds are kept at chest high when I work with them.
  15. Has you husband got a hair cut? Let a beard grow out or shaved it off? Changed anything? Try taking your grey to a new room. You leave the room and have your husband go in see if you get the same reaction.<br><br>Post edited by: Tari, at: 2007/07/11 22:57
  16. Wow someone opened up an old post. lol Still interesting to read. I had a DNA on mine but suspected she was a girl before I did it. Just a feeling.
  17. Ten men on a rope... Eleven people were hanging on a rope, under a helicopter. 10 men and 1 woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that 1 had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to fall. They weren't able to choose that person, until the woman gave a very touching speech. She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return. As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping....
  18. That is so true Xxbeccyxx. And TAG's are harder to find. But I think they are worth looking for.
  19. CeasarsDad wrote: Sorry I must disagree that people only get snakes to watch them kill. I have one in my husbands smoking room away from the birds. She has never ate live food. Only prekilled. That is what I looked for when I got her. We have had her 11 years. We like her cause she is very pretty dark brown and pinkish orange. My husband likes to impress his friends with her. And yes we enjoy watching her swallow her food hole but it is prekilled. It also amazing to watch her shed. But ya she is dumb as a post. lol She is an corn snake and really large for her kind. 6 foot 2 inches and old for her kind too. Generally only live 7 to 8 years in captivity. However if I had to choice I'd keep the bird can't hold the snake. lol

  21. I feed mine as much as she wants. /shrug She is not fat. I try not to rely to much on pellet food. Veggies, fruit, pasta, rice make up most of her diet with a little seed mixed in.
  22. My Que (TAG) is 8 years old. The biggest challange to keeping her friendly is getting people to pick her up. As long as she is no where near me she will still step up and not bite but she well protest loudly and this scares most people. Play hot potato with her as much as you can while people still want to handle her. And don't forget towel training. If she does stop letting people handle her this well be very helpful.
  23. I throw mine away but I know some of the indians use them for making things and there is an artest dont remember his name but he paints on them. Have a friend that has one framed. Looks great.
  24. She did not keep the first feeding down but she did that yesterday morning too. Think Im half asleep and feeding to much to fast. Anyway she kept ever drop of the second feeding with the meds down and she flew again. Things are still looking good for her.
