  1. Very good idea Muse maybe even an entry in the FAQ section since we have this question from time to time.
  2. You may have, I don't know if any of my neighbors have birds but I don't think so but then I live out in the country and neighbors aren't that close by.
  3. There ya go Ronda, Muse came thru for ya, thanks for the info.
  4. Josey has 6 toys in her cage at the moment but her cage is large so it can accommodate them and I have a storage box with additional toys I rotate in and out.
  5. MommaFawkes wrote: That is almost unbelieveable, wow 110 years old, I've never heard of one that old:ohmy:
  6. I personally don't use a separate cage for sleeping but some of the members do, whatever works for you is best. That is about 9 hours sleep and is probably enough, he more than likely naps during the day especially if no one is home. Greys are very smart and understand more than we give them credit for.
  7. Oh I think he is liking you a lot more than you think, he is playing games with you and that is good to hear. I think turning the desk so you are facing him is best as they don't like to be ignored and turning your back on him is ignoring him in his eyes. Things will only get better from now on I think, no more Devil's Daughter for you.
  8. Thats great Muse, then we know who to go to when we need another list of rescue places, way to go girl:)
  9. Discussion is good but like it was mentioned we cannot see facial expressions or hear the tone of the words written so misunderstandings occur but we can agree on one thing, teflon is a bird killer so we all do what we can to make our home safe for our birds. Ronda I gave you some karma to bring you up to par with your posts:P
  10. What if she had two cages beside each other, then they would be separated but still in sight of one another for company but Tari is right they will not be as tame if kept together.
  11. He was almost doing the moon walk too if you noticed that, or the Michael Jackson slide, thanks for sharing it with us even if it wasn't Sweetheart, LOL, I'll never forget that one.
  12. Thanks Muse for your prompt response and your research for the information Lynda requested, karma for you.
  13. I can't wait to find out if it is male or female but I am banking on female.
  14. I pick letter B or the second shot, you actually have a B) on it and I also pick number 3. We do have a site we can go to for a poll vote.
  15. I'm sure Juji will be fine while you are gone and be glad to see you when you get back, Josey always is but then I take her with me sometimes like when I go see my son who lives 4+ hours away. You really do need to get a travel cage and the one like what I got was less than $50.
  16. And probably in a few months it will literally be in pieces, right Hannah:laugh:  , sorry I just couldn't let that one slide without a comment:whistle:
  17. Thats so funny Jennifer, man noises:blink:  you learn a lot about the person who had him before and some that you wished you didn't, but he will probably do those noises less and less now that he does not hear them anymore. I look forward to seeing some pictures of him.
  18. Thats baloney, Yvette, my hubby taught my Josey to wolf whistle not long after I brought her home and she talks, of course that whistle is thrown in for good measure now and again.
  19. Dan thats why it isn't cheap, those small cuffs are expensive.
  20. Tracy, Ronda, no I haven't learned anything yet, LOL, yes I should have noticed the beak, it was a Cag for gosh sakes and I know Ronda has a Tag, this is what age does for ya if you are wondering, ten lashes with a wet noodle:blink:  :side: :silly:
  21. Hello Jennifer and welcome to the family, glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Odie. Glad to have another rescue person join the forum, I have a special place in my heart for people like you who take in birds that were discarded by someone else for whatever reason. There are so many of these birds out there and so few people willing to give them a good home. Bless you. If you would take some time and read thru the many threads on various topics you will find lots of useful information. Just ask any questions you may have we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have any pictures of Odie you would like to share with us we would love to see him and we have an other birds room where you can also post pics of the other two birds you have, we want to see them all.
  22. Sorry, I just assumed and I should make no assumptions but I did enjoy it immensely so thanks anyway, maybe one day she will do that for you, you never know.
  23. Ronda if she does start doing it she will be sharpening them not filing them off so they will just be hurting you all the more.
  24. Ronda that was absolutely one of the best videos I have seen lately, Sweetheart was adorable dancing along with the music, she was really swaying along with the beat, thanks for sharing that with us, its a hoot to boot.
