I think I had a thread about that but I love the way they look at that poop once they have dropped it, they turn their head and look at it like saying, "Wow would you look at that"
-
I knew it, not that it was a Tag but the fact that it was a grey, that much I know, and it is so adorable isn't it, makes you want it too.
-
That last one was a side splitter:woohoo: Rae, thanks for sharing them with us, a good laugh is good for us all.
-
My guess is an african grey baby, right Ronda? The goffin baby is growing right along, the changes are happening so fast, soon he will be home with you, thanks for sharing an updated pic with us.
-
In small amounts Rae and the plain variety. Thanks for sharing some more pics of Angie with us, yes you can plainly see the improvement in her feathers and I know this is making you very happy, keep up the good work.
-
Aww come on Tracy, wouldn't you like to have one land on your car hood while you are driving to and from work, LOL, I know, thanks but no thanks, gotcha:laugh:
-
I'll send you some Tracy, we have plenty:laugh:
-
Pictures do not have to be african greys to post:laugh: thats funny, but the problem may be that the pic was too large, you may have to resize them to post, try that and see if it works.
-
I don't think I have heard that one before, so I am laughing my a** off at the moment, LMAO, thanks Rae for sharing that with us.

I would keep one too if I was you, what a treat that will be to have one of those mutations. We have a couple of threads that have some mutations in them, I will share the link for one here: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/african-grey/60115-african-grey-mutations.html Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you.
-
Got any more Rae, we can all use a good joke, sometimes laughing is all we can do.
-
Ok back on topic, yes the best way to freshen the air is by opening a window and let the outside air do the job but when it is so cold that is not an option. We are open to other ideas if anyone has any that are not harmful to our greys.

Thats what we preach here, time and patience wins every time, you are so right he is very interested in what you are doing and he will want to be in the middle of it soon I am sure then you will have the problem of trying to keep him from ripping off the keyboard keys:laugh: I sit behind a computer at work all day and wish I could do mine at home but I can't so I do the next best thing, I take one of them to work with me from time to time, that works for me. Thanks for updating us on the situation and I do look forward to seeing those photos:)

Funkygirl, we have many members who have lots of other animals in the household along with a grey, it just takes time to make the adjustment and supervision to make sure nothing bad happens to any of them. They can coexist in the same home and get along nicely so if that is the reason you hesitate getting one why wait. It sounds like you enjoy cooking up a bunch of food for your B&G so it wouldn't be much different making a little more or doing it a litte more often if you have a grey.

Zeta you say he has a room to himself, maybe he is feeling isolated from the rest of the family, they like to be where the family lives, plays and socializes, they want to be in the middle of the action so to speak. Dan and Ronda gave you some excellent advice, he may be testing his boundaries to see what he can get away with. Try the methods and ideas that they gave you and see if they help I am hoping you will be back soon with an update that the behavior is improving so good luck to you.
-
Thanks Ronda but unfortunately we see these every day here and a lot of them end up on someone's hood or you see them lying by the roadside dead. I am dodging them almost every night that I come home after dark but I do enjoy seeing them but thanks for sharing them with us.

I'm sorry Birdgranna if I missed your previous post on the Rainbow Bridge but since the Pet Memorial room is new and Ronda posted it in the room I thought it was appropriate to have it where those that need it can find it easily, did not mean to step on any toes or yours either, Tracy. This site has a lot of threads and posts and items get lost easily and I forget easily too, that comes with age.

For those that saw the lunar eclipse!
judygram replied to Shamelessmuse's topic in Off-Topic Discussions
I missed this last lunar eclipse because it was cloudy here where I live but TalonSis made a thread and posted some pics she took that night and shared with us. Thanks Muse for sharing the explanation of why it appears red when in the totality:P -
Thank you Ronda for posting this for us, maybe admin will make it a sticky so it will remain at the top of the pet memorial room to be easily found by whoever needs to read it, you are a sweetheart:kiss: More karma coming your way....

Hello Macawlover and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Oscar. Wow you have been offered a military macaw for free, that is a deal that you should not refuse but I understand that Mom has to have the final say if you are still living with her. How old is your Cag and how long have you had him? Greys really are amazing creatures aren't they and I assume Oscar talks and mimics sounds, most do. Take a few minutes to read thru some of our many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Oscar you would like to share with us we would love to see him and we have an other birds room where you could post some pictures of Cheyenne if you like.

Hello Funkygirl and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you. You don't mention it but do you have an african grey? We do have several threads that deal with forbidden foods for parrots, just do a search and you will find them. Dried beans are ok for feeding but they must be cooked first, I haven't heard that they are harmful to our birds. My Josey loves pinto beans and she has them all over her beak when she eats them LOL Do read thru the many threads on site for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions if you have any. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you do have a grey and have some pictures you would like to share with us we would love to see them.

Oh Matt, I am so sorry to hear of this news and know that you did the best you could for him but it was just not meant to be. My heart goes out to you and I hope you can find peace and know that you made him happy for the short period of time you had together. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. We would like to know what the vet finds out and thanks for following thru to know what caused this because you never know who else's grey may be saved by the knowledge the vet finds out. Thanks for letting us know, it couldn't have been easy for you. Judy

I think Sandra does work from home, wish I did and I could spend all day with my birds but I do the next best thing, I take one of them to work with me occasionally, works for me.

Has anybody made a play tree/gym for your Grey?
judygram replied to Raposa's topic in The GREY Lounge
Ask and ye shall receive, thanks Tracy and Siobhan, karma for you both. -
I used to have to do that with Josey, have a towel on me to catch the poops, but now I recognize the pre dump stance and can get her to a trashcan for poops and she will take her dump and then look to see where it landed.
