I am sorry to hear you are having some troubles with Lucy but we will see what we can do to help you. When you leave the room or leave the house do you answer her calls, she just may need reassurance that you are still around. When you do leave the house do you tell her you are going and where, some of them understand and react better to the absence. Is she flighted? If so she could come with you if she wants to be around you especially if she has been left for periods of time, she is being a little insecure. Of course you need to ignore the noises so as not to be rewarding her for them. Praise her when she has been quiet for a period of time. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads here, please read thru as many of them as possible and ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Lucy you would like to share with us we would love to see her.

Well you and Lisa are in agreement on the red tailed amazon, so maybe that is what it is, Ian, let us know if this is right.

Tari is right, give Gizmo the same attention you did before and I know that maybe more difficult with a new baby in the house but you made a committment to the bird and you need to fulfill that obligation. That is amazing how Gizmo has reacted to your pregnancy but it does not surprise me, they do pick up on subtle changes in our moods and feelings. Keep him in the same room as he has always been and include him in activities as usual but keep the distance between him and the baby. BTW, congrats Hanna on your pregnancy, I assume this is your first one and I know you must be excited for your life is about to change forever but for the best. I hope all goes well and you have a healthy, happy baby.

Denise this is amazing how Sammy is adjusting so well so quickly and he does have quite the vocabulary, I can imagine a few jaws dropped when that one phrase came out but I bet it was so funny you had to laugh, I would have. Greys do like imitating all sorts of sounds and noises they hear, I am sure you will find others to identify with. Thanks so much Denise for updating us on Sammy and continue with them for we love to hear success stories.

You're right Penny, I thought $900 to $1000 for a grey is high enough but there are places that they are much higher, over $2000 even, wow what a difference location makes.

Wow I know that is a big relief to know Merlin is fine and glad something is being done to prevent it from ever happening again, thanks for updating us.

I know I voted so I don't know what the other member's problems are with voting but I did get a system message about voting. I guess I am more in tuned about voting since I am an election official in my precinct here in the county so if you don't vote you don't have a say in who is elected to office. I like the contests also and would hate to see them go.

And with this thread there will be a photo from each stage and we will see the development of the baby like Connie did with her B&G macaw.

I don't know about some of that stuff but I imagine one of those ingredients is some form of alcohol and that is not good, better to get 100% aloe gel to be on the safe side.

Maui looks so adorable in his flight suit, thanks for sharing that with us. Glad to hear he is doing great, and why shouldn't he with all the love and attention you obviously lavish on him, he is one lucky grey. Thanks for the update, we like hearing about them and how they are doing.
