They will go thru a mumbling of all types of sounds, I call it jibberish until they learn to talk, give him plenty of time. He is a cute baby grey, thanks for sharing him with us.

Congrats on a good first experience with giving Rexxy a bath, wish they all could be so easy.

Yeah the storm might have kept him awake and could have shaken him up a little, just keep an eye on him for any further changes and do keep us informed. I'm sure he will be fine though so try not to worry.

What a pretty baby Kevin and it seems like quite a few greys like munching on pea pods, very healthy for them too, thanks for sharing it with us. Alfie is so sweet looking.

I refrigerate mine after I open it and according to sources they prefer it being cold for spraying. Thats my opinion but others will have their own.

Hello Mareeee and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this new to you grey. The others have given you some excellent advice, just give him plenty of time to adjust and be very patient with him, it works wonders as you will see. Yes that is a small cage but probably more space than he was used to if he shared one with other birds but you will soon build him a bigger one so he will have lots of space to play in. Thanks for sharing a pic of him with us, he is a nice looking Tag.

Somewhat New to the Fourm and New Bird
judygram replied to Quickdood's topic in Welcome & Introduction Room
Hello Greg and welcome to the family, we are so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Lily. She is a sweet looking girl, thanks for sharing a pic of her with us, she looks like she is enjoying that toy she is playing with. Once she settles in she may not be quite so quiet but my grey is quieter than a sun conure I have, she can be very noisy so my grey is quiet in comparison. You will find lots of useful information in the many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do ask any and all questions you may have. -

Before you bring him home please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask any and all questions as we love to help each other with our problems. I'll bet you can't wait for Labor day weekend to get here huh.

The others have given you some excellent advice and I have to agree with the patience, patience and more patience. You have to give it plenty of time and he is new to your home and it will take a while for him to settle in and be comfortable with you. Lovemygreys has provided some links to some good threads you should read thru as well as most of the threads here in this forum. Just read and read for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions. We welcome any and all questions and we will help you in any way we can. Hello Megoni and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Johnboy. I used to love watching the Waltons every week, a very clean and wholesome show compared to the shows that are offered for viewing now. I haven't tried any harnesses yet but the aviator is the one most recommended and does come with a dvd showing how to introduce it and use it on your bird. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will do our best to find you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Johnboy you would like to share with us we would love to see them.

Hello Terry and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you. Do you have another grey now? I hear that Rikki is settling into her new home quite nicely and is getting along pretty well with Talon, I think she has found a forever home.

Hello She and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Charlie. A lot of us can sympathize with the destruction of remote controls, phones and laptops, greys can destroy them in no time at all which is why I keep mine out of her reach. Read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and please do ask any and all questions you may have and we will endeavor to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. Be sure to share some pictures of your grey if you have any as we love to admire each other’s birds.

Oh no Susan, this is not good news at all, I am so sorry to hear it may be liver failure, your hubby must be beside himself with grief. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that it isn't that but something else that the vet can do something about, hang in there.

Toni is right Berna, you take care of yourself and don't try to be a hero if it gets worse than expected. I do hope that it brings us here in VA some much needed rain and if it goes according to projections we may just get some by the end of the week.

Yes I see pictures of Malibu and he is a lovely baby for sure, thanks for sharing them with us.
