Why limit it to just once a week, you can give it to them every day if you like, just vary the flavor, be sure to use a small spoon and then you will have him prepared for when you may have to give meds by spoon. I mix a little in with the oatmeal I fix her for breakfast or some do a nighttime treat before they go to bed.
  2. Believe me Pugnacious you have a Tag, we can tell by the horn colored beak, we know our Cags and Tags, this is a grey forum for gosh sakes. Glad you like it here as we try to be as helpful as we can, you know you catch more flies with honey than vinegar:laugh: we like to have a little fun too, crack a joke here and there, kind of makes life worth living don't you think. If you have questions please just ask, as you can already tell we will be glad to help you as much as we can.
  3. I don't see a problem with it as long as he enjoys it but he may decide to bite somewhat harder in the future. I think most of the greys like to attack some of their toys with a vengence and so does Josey, especially her big bells, she acts like she is mad at it but it is only play. Have fun with BoBo JC.

Sure its an excellent idea, I do it all the time, but I use the simple vegetables not the other concoctions. Josey loves the butternut squash and sweet potatoes.
  5. Gosh Kitty, you do have me beat by a mile, congrats on being almost 81 and still going strong, you go girl, may you have many more to share with your fids. BTW, Happy Belated Birthday Carolyn on the 21st, sorry I missed it but I won't next time:ohmy: B)
  6. Ok Aunty Siobhan, notice I didn't call you Granny:whistle: but I will take your word for the squeals but you are enjoying every minute of it too aren't ya, you go girl.
  7. Suzzique, the only problem with Alex preening your hair from atop your head is the other deposits he might make while there, heh heh heh:ohmy:  :silly:
  8. Very good advice:lol: Darth, boy this thread has brought some laughs hasn't it, what a sticky one this is:sick:
  9. Well I don't know about mad but definitely has a few screws loose, you can quit eating dog bones now for we believe you:sick:  The things we do for our greys, well at least some of us do for them, I draw the line at dog bones:S
  10. I will have to try that Erika, I know when I click on one of those videos that someone shares with us that Josey will pay attention to the sounds, she does listen intently. I will have to bring her closer the next time so she can see the screen and see if she will watch intently, hmmmm, we'll see.:cheer:
  11. Aww but they look so sweet, how could they be so loud:ohmy: but in ny case they look adorable and I know you are enjoying every minute so why not just keep them all, you know you want to:laugh:
  12. Yes it is Jim, amazing and interesting at the same time but yes we would have to be a grey to know what was going thru his mind at the time. Maybe someone else has tried this very thing with their grey and will share their thoughts with us and thank you Jim for sharing yours with us.
  13. Aveloz, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and your baby grey.
  14. My hubby's sentiments on wallpaper too as he has stripped 4 rooms in our house of wallpaper and has two more to go, hates it with a passion. I look forward to seeing more pics of Loki, even if he is dirty, I promise I won't say a word:whistle:
  15. Wow there is no stopping Baxter now, he has found his wings and is learning to fly and land and he will have some crash landings until he gets it right but it must be awesome to see him fly. You are doing the right thing to allow him the freedom of flight, probably the first time he has been allowed to do so. Baxter will do fine Erika with your love and guidance.
  16. You got that right Erika, funny  but gross:sick:
  17. Yes as already explained you should provide water at all times. I just love the way Dave explains things and he came out of hiding to share that with us. Love ya Dave.

    buddy

I am so glad to hear things are looking better for Buddy, he has been thru a lot and you have too with him but lets keep up the good progress, I know your hubby will be pleased.
  19. You never hear it all and not much surprises me anymore, I just go with the flow but I ain't eating no dog bone, I'll take your word for it.
  20. Tracy is right the list is endless, its easier to name the things they cannot have than try to list what they can. Josey enjoy lots of the foods I enjoy especially at dinner time and if they see you eating it then they assume it is for them too so share yours with Indy.
  21. No I can honestly say that Josey does not pick my nose, she occasionally pinches my nose, the part that separates the two sides but never picks, I wouldn't allow it if she tried.
  22. Hello Renee and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Sonya. She is so cute in that shot you shared with us and I am so happy you could take in this grey and bring it back to full health. It was just meant to be for you to take care of her temporarily which led you to take her permanently for you seem like you have her best interests at heart. You certainly came to the right place to learn all you need to know to take proper care of her, we have lots of information in our many threads, just browse thru them at your leisure and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions and we will help you in any way we can. BTW, how old is she? She has certainly adjusted well to her new home so you must be doing something right.
  23. Nice pics of Joey and she does love those birdy bagels and that new playstand is working out just fine isn't it, thanks for sharing these with us.
  24. Sameera I am so sorry to hear of this news, you must be beside yourself with worry but hang in there and keep us informed, I will keep Zahzu in my thoughts and prayers that it isn't PBFD and she gets thru this rough period just fine.
