1. Thats great Sameera that you were able to remove the blood feather yourself and save the stress of another visit to the vet. That was very smart of you to research on how to do it properly so congrats on a job well done. Congrats on another job well done-potty training, you are on a roll aren't you;)
2. That is a wonderful portable perch Jim, how clever of you to make this and it is so easy to carry from room to room, thanks for sharing the perch with us and now I have to get busy on making one for Josey. Did you use any glue to hold the parts together or just allow the friction to keep it from coming apart when moving?
3. Done:lol: I can't crochet but I can do cross stitch:cheer:

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2008/08/08 03:46
4. Oh my yes, that would be a lot of poops:ohmy: {Emotions-00020120}
5. Tari, maybe you should hang up the crochet needle for a bit and focus on the contest:S don't sweat it, we all make mistakes, after all we are human. So now we vote again, did you swipe the slate clean to start over?
6. Who knows if it will or not but some people have more money than they have sense, if you get my drift:whistle:
7. Roscoe sure is a cute grey, an absolutely adorable baby, thanks for sharing another pic with us.
8. Sounds familiar and I have heard that a lot of white cats are deaf too:ohmy:
9. I know a bird has a higher body temperature than we do but hot feet, I don't know Susan, maybe you should consult a vet about that as I wouldn't want to recommend something that isn't safe.
10. Yeah well people will always mess with mother nature and I don't think the all red one looks very healthy either. I love my all grey one with the red tail, now thats the one for me.
11. Good job Kitty, I haven't been very good this week, haven't been to Curves once this week, but next week I promise.
12. Pat is at Tyco's beck and call, boy am I glad I didn't fall for that ploy.  :pinch:
13. I would love to meet Malibu but I don't see any pics up, if you need help with posting pictures please read the posting photos section in the FAQ. You hit the nail on the head, time and patience is it exactly and 4 days is not any time at all. Of course he is going to be cautious and hesitant around you and probably will be for a while until he settles in more and you start bonding.
14. If you do get someone to make a holder for a larger crock make sure the metal is a safe one, for instance no zinc, maybe stainless steel and be sure there are no sharp edges.
15. No you are doing fine, she just wanted some pellets and they are good for her so let her eat all she wants of them. If she stops eating the fruits and veggies then she has had enough and just wants something else, maybe its like her dessert for the evening:lol:

17. Erin you can use some aloe vera gel or rub a piece of aloe plant leaf on the cut, even if he managed to eat some of it won't hurt him.
18. Energy shield:huh: maybe that is what is working for me, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:whistle:
19. Hello Erin and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Odie. Sounds like you have quite the character in Odie and I bet he is a joy to have around, they are such precious creatures, no wonder we love them so much. Odie and my Josey may share one trait, she chews a lot of her flight feathers off or pulls them out too. She hasn't had many flight feathers come in that she didn't chew off. I am working on the problem but haven't found a solution yet. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads, just have a read thru and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will do our best to find some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Odie you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
20. Sibylle, I take my grey with me on road trips to visit my son who lives about 4+ hours away and she does fine, she plays and talks on the trip and is content in her travel cage. She spends most of the time in her travel cage at my son's as he has an inside cat that would like nothing better than some bird meat.
21. No but I am sure one of the members can figure out something that would work, for some reason it seems most greys do not like to bathe in a bowl on the floor of their cage, they like being up higher, go figure:silly:
22. See what you miss when you stay away for a while, you miss out on some good stuff but glad you got to see her.
23. magicalem wrote: Your grey is a pet and therefore is not breeding material and just because you put a female with him doesn't mean they will mate. Unlike dogs and cats that don't care who they mate with a grey is different, they choose their mates and they have to have the right conditions to breed even if they take to each other and usually greys kept as pets don't mate.
24. Sitcasue, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and Rex.
