1. You know why you only found one package, other grey owners had already bought the others, didn't you hear there was a run on Legos since we discovered they were excellent grey toys.  :woohoo:
2. The G seems to hit the spot Dan, oh sorry:blush: that sounds a little kinky:whistle: but definitely G :silly:
3. And that he is Pat, simply gorgeous and I don't think he looks too scruffy, he is a handsome fella, thanks for sharing a couple of pics of him with us.
4. Well good for you Renate on finding out the breeders name and email address, gosh I didn't know there was such a group, nice to know for the other members here who might want or need the information. I wish you much luck and hope you hear from them and find out what you need to know.
5. Yeah, Pat Tyco can fly after all, its been a long time coming, I can see how excited you are as well you should be and I doubt this will be her last attempt. Probably now that she knows she can do it she will be flying all thru the house, watch and see.
6. We need an update on the new baby Berna, come on now and don't leave us hanging here. :silly:

8. Hello Debbie and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Sterling. Yes we have watched your baby grow and his sister, Lyric shared pictures and the story from the time they hatched to the present time. It is so fascinating to follow the progression from the ugly like blob to a fully feathered grey, so magnificent looking. Lyric has done a wonderful job with those babies and she should be very proud of herself and I know she hated to part with Sterling but at least she will be able to keep up with him thru you, nice that you are neighbors. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. You can continue to post pictures of him so we can keep the story going, we love to see pictures of each other's greys if you hadn't already noticed.
9. Charlie finally got him some legos and they are a big hit, especially when you find them at the dollar store, now you just have to teach Snoopie not to run away with them.
10. So how are things going now that you have had her home for a few days, still going good, she looks healthy and very adorable.
11. If you are talking about size, they get to full size in the first couple of months but if you are talking about nails and beak, they are continually growing and I would assume so throughout their life.
12. Josey has never commented on her poops but she always looks at it after dropping it, I don't know what is up with that, curiosity maybe:S
13. Hello MrCongo and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Mr Congo. Yes you will have your hands full with this grey, since he is an older bird that was a breeder he will take a lot of time and work on your part to make him a pet again. I hope you possess a lot of patience for you are going to need it. Since he is biting some I would not allow him to sit on your shoulder at least for now and especially since this is your first parrot. You need to allow him to settle in and get comfortable in his new home before you can begin to form a bond with him. You need to observe him a lot to determine his body language so you can predict a bite is coming and avoid it. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. When you get the chance to take some pictures of him please share some with us as we would love to see him.
14. Well I can tell that whatever grey you do get is one lucky bird, you have everything a grey could dream of having, when you go after stuff you go whole hog, you don't mess around. I wish you much luck in finding your grey, but he won't know how lucky he is until he comes home, thanks for sharing all this with us, all our greys should be so blessed as yours will be.
15. Hello Julie and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Hiro. What lovely looking birds, the lovebird is adorable and that is so cute they are buddies, that is so wonderful when they get along nicely. Your grey, Hiro looks like he is quite a character as you said, that is a funny pose he is in, looks to me as if he is doing the squat and tail shake they do right as they get ready to take a dump. You came to the right place if looking for advice on the grey as we have tons of threads with useful information so just read thru them at your leisure and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
16. Welcome home Art and I wouldn't worry too much about how old he is, he is an awesome grey as you said and just enjoy him for he seems to have come quite a ways in just a few days time. Something in his past has made him afraid of hands and it might take a long time but I think he will overcome it for the most part, continue to do what you are doing as it seems to be working in your case. We would love to see some pictures of Art if you can manage to get some for us.
17. Thanks Penny, you beat me to the punch!!
18. Hello Socrates and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Socrates. To tell you the truth I would prefer almost anything to lawyers but I know you are having the time of your life and you have quite a flock. I am impressed that you have two hyacinth macaws, you have the gentle giants as we call them, I bet they are beautiful. We are glad we could be of help but then that is what we are here for and please do read thru our many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Socrates you would like to share with us we would love to see him and we have an other birds room where you can share some of the other birds you have.
19. Nothing is wrong, they are all individuals and will act accordingly, some love it, some hate it and some like mine tolerate it.
20. Marley might be a closet talker if he only talks when you are out of the room, a lot of greys are that way but maybe with some time he will get a little less shy. A wonderful birthday present, you are so blessed.
21. I just finished reading that very book and enjoyed it immensely, a very good read for any grey owner or parrot owner, once I started reading I found it hard to put down.

I remember you Terri and I wouldn't worry too much right now. She probably misses Dave some if she was close to him too but in time she will be back to her old self. Like you said she has had a lot go on in her life and she does not settle into a new life as easy as you or I would.

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2009/02/17 19:53
23. Yes it would at that and if you do get one let us know what their reaction to it is and whether they use it or not.
24. It might depend on what they are made of and what decorations they have on them, you don't want to give her anything that she could break apart and swallow. I would check the label for the contents and go from there.
