1. Close but no cigar, its just around the corner but I will drink to that! {Communicate-000200D5}
2. We are excited for you Jess and look forward to those pictures of your baby.
3. Yeah you can't expect results the first time you try it, you know how cautious they are by nature, keep working with it for short periods of time and soon he will get the hang of it, its still too new to him yet.
4. I think we have had this discussion before and the company VPI has about the best rates for the USA, I do not currently have any pet insurance but have considered it since if anything should happen to Josey the vet bills could be very expensive.
5. Yes please do introduce yourself in the welcome room Harmonicaman68 and thanks for the info and link.
6. Thanks for the link Heather, it is bookmarked here too.
7. You are a quick learner Jason, they do think anything you have is theirs, and if you want him to eat something start eating it first and then he will want it, the house is their playground or so they think.
8. Koko looks so great outside flying around the playground, she certainly enjoys herself, thanks for sharing them with us.
9. Mocha is so cute flapping his wings and he is growing in leaps and bounds, thanks so much for keeping us up to date on his progress, I love it.
10. Dan is so right, you have done nothing wrong, your grey is testing the waters so to speak, he is aserting his independence and seeing what he can get away with. You do need to learn to read your grey's body language along with the eyes pinning, it will tell you a lot about whether or not to mess with him. I second Dan's suggestion of introducing yourself in the welcome room.
11. Robin, now that would be a hoot because some people have trouble reading it when sober.

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2009/08/20 16:46
12. That is a debatable subject but only you can answer that question, most of us would prefer to leave them unclipped as they are usually more confident because they came with wings and they were meant to use them. You make the call but you have plenty of time yet for the wings to grow out and just see what happens, if clipping them is for you then by all means do it. Your breeder probably has been clipping her babies wings for so long she just assumes they should be that way but you decide for yourself.
13. We are so truly blessed, before we just existed, now we live life to the fullest. B)
14. Hi LuvThoseGreys, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some about you and your grey if you have one.
15. Hello Jshendrix and welcome to the family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Wyatt. Yes by all means leave a radio on during the time you are gone, that is what I do for my fids, I have a grey and a sun conure. Also provide your baby with some foraging toys to help keep him occupied and busy. Is this your first grey, first parrot? You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We love pictures here so if you have some of Wyatt you would share with us please do so.
16. Your baby is adorable and the sleepy one is so precious, you are doing fine and your baby is settling in nicely, thanks for sharing some pictures with us.
17. What a pug;) he's a cutie.
18. I like that one Dan, PMSL:laugh: :woohoo:
19. Congrats on it being almost time for your baby to come home, bet you thought this day was never going to get here. I would put a small towel in the bottom of the cage to cushion any fall he/she might make on the way home, maybe a little something to nibble on and of course some water as it will get thirsty in that amount of time. Other than that I think you are all ready for your baby so enjoy for your life is about to change but its a good change. Can't wait to see some pictures when you get the chance.
20. Thanks for the update on Buddy and Pistachio, so glad to hear they are doing great and some pictures would have been a nice addition also, hint, hint:whistle:
21. That is so true and a cute way to show how much you love Beau, thanks for sharing it with us Julie.
22. Harley is so handsome Pat, no wonder you don't hesitate to take pictures of him, I love his coloring and think of how much better he will look when he gets back to a healthy weight. You can share some pictures of him any time you want to Pat, I know you are so proud of him.
23. Wow a beach trip, wish I was going, can't wait to see some pictures of Harvey.
24. Thats why I eat my ice cream after the fids go to bed, heh heh, I don't have to share it that way, mean of me isn't it but they shouldn't have it anyways but I guess a taste from time to time couldn't hurt:huh:
