  1. What a mouth on that baby, anxious to see what this bird will look like when fully grown and feathered. Congrats Sanggay on your new additon to your flock.
  2. Another greyt video of Emma, I love how she keeps her feet on separate perches all the while playing her heart out, thanks for sharing that with us.
  3. You have a beautiful baby grey there in your hands and two more weeks until you can bring him/her home, thanks for sharing a pic with us.

    Sony-My Cat

Thats great news Marie and I hope the results come back that it is benign so I will continue to keep good thoughts for you and Sony.
  5. Nah, you can never give them too many toys, just leave him some room for himself in there:laugh: :silly: he is enjoying himself though isn't he!
  6. Do you need some depends Charlene:whistle: that was so funny, thanks for making me laugh.
  7. Thanks for letting us know that Chikki is doing great and about leaving him out of his cage in the conservatory when you are out, just make sure there is nothing he could get into to hurt himself. Sorry you won't be taking your long weekend but now you know you can take Chikki when the chance comes again.
  8. Those are great pictures of Darwin, she is so beautiful and you take good pictures of her, she enjoys playing in that big cardboard cylinder, thanks for sharing these pictures with us and the two of Apollo. Congrats on Darwin saying her first words, she just wanted to impress that little girl, you must be so proud.
  9. This link was posted here before and no matter how many times it may end up being posted it still makes me sick to my stomach to think of those poor greys and how they must have suffered. Yeah like you Dan I would like to do some beheading myself but that would be too good and too quick:angry:
  10. Stazel is a very pretty grey and that is great that she is being vocal and talking some, maybe after she has been there a while she will do it with you in the room but some just do not like an audience. The mosquitoes do pose a problem as they can carry diseases, it would be recommended you use some type of netting if you are going to have her outside much. They all scratch and rub their beak on rough surfaces, it helps to loosen flakes that are naturally occuring all the time.
  11. Its your own fault Charlene, you told her that so she repeats it endlessly, Whisper is very smart and she knows it, thanks for sharing that with us.
  12. rbpittman wrote: Right on Robin, my hubby is always commenting that I have bird poop on my shirt, he is probably afraid some of it will end up in his dinner:pinch: never has but it doesn't bother me at all, it all comes out in the wash and I have other shirts I can put on. I would much rather have bird poop on me than a baby's spitup for it doesn't smell at all. He will never understand and I have given up trying to make him understand but if you accept me you got to accept my birds, they don't come separate.
  13. Don't believe a word of it, Dan is old as the hills:laugh: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha what a laugh, I just couldn't resist. How about this one for old - DOS!
  14. Well when you have been starved for so long having such a bountiful spread put before him no wonder he thinks you are his savior and you are and he is showing his gratitude, the lucky fella. I hope you are able to help the other birds there where you got Harley for they are in the same shape and they deserve better treatment than what they are getting.
  15. OMG Davey, you went out of the house with poop on you, I have managed to not do that so far but Josey does not poop on me, its the sun conure that does that all the time but then she stays on my shoulder all the time she is out so no wonder. Thanks for the laugh Davey or should I say poopy man.
  16. Hello Rainfire and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your quest for a grey. We have many members who have cats, dogs and other pets in the house along with a grey or other birds and they can learn to co exist, they may not necessarily get along with one another but its manageable. Greys are flock animals but they don't need another grey or other bird to be happy, they are more than happy to be a part of your family and you and your family will be its flock. You would probably be better off with a recently weaned baby unless you have some experience dealing with older birds. Rehomed or rescued greys tend to have some baggage that some people cannot handle but maybe after you get more information you will be able to know whether you want to go that route. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
  17. Wow that is great Julie, world wide, now that is something else and I am so glad it will benefit anyone anywhere, I will check out the link but thanks so much for sharing it with us, karma for you girl.
  18. That is an excellent idea Julie, someone is always losing a bird and to have a network where as many people as possible are looking for it the greater chances of it being found. This will be a big help for those members who live in the UK.
  19. Natalia, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about you and your baby grey.
  20. They do make all kinds of noises and as you spend more time with him you will get more familiar with his noises and maybe what they mean for your bird. Some of them are the cutest or sweetest noises you will ever hear.
  21. That is so cute and he is having great fun imitating that cat, my cat is outside so Josey never hears him but she has made a meow sound before, must have heard it off the TV.
  22. Melissa, how much out of cage time are you providing your grey? They must be out of it for at least 4 hours or more if you are working from home. He does sound like he wants attention but that does not mean you have to stay there right beside him, take him with you when you go into another room to do something for any length of time. Have several playstands or places where he can perch and see you and when you do have to leave the room for a short bit and he calls you answer him and let him know you are coming back. They are flock animals and they just want some company, you wouldn't want to stay penned up all day in a cage would you. As far as biting, it does not mean he doesn't love you, they use their beak like we would use our hands and they convey what they don't want with it so a bite happens because he is trying to tell you something. I see this is your first post, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about you and this grey.
  23. What a cutie Caitlin, thanks for sharing that with us, can't wait to hear what else he comes up with.
  24. Wow a pet possum, now theres a pet you don't see everyday, they are pests where I live but to each their own, you are certainly an animal lover. Indy is already talking at 8 months, Josey didn't say her first word until she was 1 year of age but they vary from one to another. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. I can see from your avatar that Indy is a great looking grey but we would love to see some more pictures of him if you would share them with us.
