  1. I hope Tyco had a wonderful day with his Mom enjoying his new toys, eating carrot/nut cake and chomping on a chicken leg bone, what a lucky grey.
  2. I am so saddened to hear you haven't found Athena but never give up hope. You have a kind and loving heart to hope your bird may have found a new home with someone else and not you but as long as she is alive and well that is all that matters. I pray that you will one day find her safe and sound and you are reunited once again with her presence. I don't know how you can handle helping others to be reunited with their lost birds and all the while yours is in the same predictament, it must be hard to see their smiling happy faces while yours is full of sorrow but it shows what a great person you must be. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers that Athena is found and she is well but do give getting another bird a lot of thought, it can be very rewarding.
  3. Emma is quite the little entertainer isn't she, a drama queen for sure, love those Emma videos, keep em coming.
  4. Thats very cute Toni, thanks for sharing the link with us.
  5. I am so sorry to hear this, I suspected it was that but was hoping it wasn't, you must be devastated.
  6. Now that is one precious picture, what a loving moment that is, Gonzo and Camilla with their babies, thanks Dave for sharing that with us.
  7. Didn't kick any cats did ya Bernie? Mine is chilling in the fridge, gonna F.A.R.T. all weekend!!!
  8. Most greys do not like being on the floor, Josey will go there occasionally but not for long, your bird obviously enjoys going where she wants on the floor so if she doesn't care for flying then so be it. She is a great looking grey from the pic you posted, thanks for sharing that with us.
  9. I guess those are the pitfalls of birds with long tails but he will get more agile as time goes on but he is one amazing looking bird.
  10. Friday, Friday, Friday and I am not working today, 3 day weekend for me, getting this party started early, going shopping then who knows what may happen. {Feel-good-00020069}

Maybe I made a mistake, Rebel IS a Hell Raiser after all, she is a real stinker for sure, poor Aussie will be more careful of what he takes from her!:pinch:
  12. OMG, this will give Dan a swell head but he was right all along, imagine that, he will be so pleased to find out he was right in the beginning but don't feel bad as we all make mistakes, at least you have the decency to admit yours and apologise, most people would have just ignored it, karma for you for being so honest Jay.
  13. You will have to make a short video of them flying thru the house so we can see them in action. I'm lost on the comparison between a F16 and a F15, I wouldn't know one from the other but I get the idea that they are not alike at all.
  14. jamalbirdbiz wrote: Not necessarily Jamal, not all greys bite and those that do are just trying to get a point across the owner didn't heed from the body language so don't make it seem as if the grey will rule the household because of its beak, maybe in yours it does but then I wouldn't know anything about that. Janica, we really aren't coming down on you for getting this bird, we are upset that the breeder would allow one of his babies to be sold at such an early stage, that is greed pure and simple. Please read some of the threads in the nursery room for lots of helpful advice and of course accept any help that Dave007 gives you, he knows what he is doing as he is a breeder of greys himself. I wish you much luck and please keep us informed as to how Coco is doing.
  15. That picture is adorable Dave and I have been watching more lately because of the hatchings and I have seen Gonzo come in and feed Camilla while she is sitting on the eggs, so fascinating to watch. I can't begin to describe how precious this is for you to share it with us, something we wouldn't otherwise experience, I love it.
  16. Oh my Sanggay, I'm glad to hear that Koko was not hurt in his collision with the wall, I just bet that is an amazing experience to see both birds flying thru the house, thanks for sharing that with us.

Rebel looks like a cutie, not a hell raiser, thanks for sharing a picture of her with us even if she didn't like the camera.
  18. OMG, what a nightmare Adina, I know you were so relieved to find out it was not real, amazing how we can have such ordeals in our sleep and wake up and heave a sigh of relief that it was only a bad dream.

Yes when they are molting they can be grouchy because those pin feathers can be itchy and make them feel uncomfortable, more frequent bathing may be helpful right now and spraying her with some aloe vera juice might help also. I love her cute little red feathers she has, did she have the red factor before she started molting? She looks like some of the new feathers are red also.
  20. I guess tomorrow is the big day for your baby grey to come home, guess you are excited, probably won't sleep tonight, like waiting for Christmas morning.
  21. Pixie, your links do not take me anywhere, could you fix them for us so we can look?
  22. harmar wrote: This is a decision only you can make but please think about it carefully before you do decide to clip as it takes a long time for them to grow out again. There are always going to be people who do differently, thats what makes the world what it is but it would not stop me if every member of the bird club I belong to said all birds should be clipped, I got a mind of my own and I make my decision and you can too.
  23. Sometimes we have to respect their space and wanting to be left alone at times, learning to read his body language will help you so much in knowing when to back off for the time being. He really should be seen by an avian vet to make sure he is healthy and if you take him on outings so he gets to view the travel cage as going somewhere fun then you may not have to "stuff" him into it.
