Josey eats her Harrisons very readily, I keep a bowl just for the pellets and she does get some seeds every day but she doesn't eat too many of them, she generally leaves the sunflower in favor of the safflower seeds.
My hubby thinks I am crazy too as I am always thinking of new things to buy for my fids when going into stores even when its not even a pet store, I go to the baby department of other stores.
Right now I am thinking of what to get them for Christmas:whistle: B)
Its a small price to pay for the priviledge of having the wonderful companionship of parrots, saves some money too as most of them things don't come cheap.
Freddy you have landed in the lap of luxury, you just don't know it yet but you will soon, can't wait to see some pictures of you when you get those feathers.
Yeah both my birds love some orange juice but I think some others thought Beau had crapped in it but he is just helping himself to some.
That is my kids worse fear that one of my birds will crap in the food I fix for them, oh well I won't tell if you don't!   just kidding!!
Be sure to let us know how they turned out and maybe Chimay might just surprise you and know exactly what to do with it, pictures would be so much appreciated too.
I think most all of us realize we can't have a totally clean house if we are going to share it with parrots, they make a mess thats just the way they are and as I have gotten older the mess bothers me less and less, there are other things in life besides a clean spotless house.
Wow now that you got that new camera you are wowing us with these great videos, that Koko leads an exciting life and is included in so much of your daily activity, he is one lucky bird, thanks so much for sharing these with us.
That is wonderful to hear Charlotte and nothing makes us happier to know we have been of some help to you, thanks for the update and hope to hear more from you and pictures too.
Are they in cages beside each other? That is fine they are calling each other, maybe with a little time you can put them back together and they will behave, if not keep them separated.
Dan is right, give them the bones you have cut or stripped the meat off of instead of eaten off although that is the best way eaten.
What time is dinner, I love ribs!!!
It is so delightful to watch videos of Mocha and Koko but I have one question, why does Mocha hold his beak open almost all the time? In all the videos of him he has his beak slightly open, is that a trait of the hill mynah or just him?
Thanks for sharing them with us Sanggay.
That is so sweet and precious especially in light of what was happening out there, no telling how many animals lost their lives because of the fire, these two obviously needed each other and so a bond was instantaneous, thanks for sharing this with us.
I know, birds are messy creatures but I have learned to live with it if I want to live with them. Just don't leave her food out too long as she might get hungry.
I think someone else has already posted this before Toni but it is the cutest thing to watch and if you notice the grey always put the ball into his end of the court every time, thanks for sharing that with us.
If she persists in doing this then maybe you will have to put down some papers or something to catch the dropped food or you will have to keep her door closed when she is eating but this is a habit she has and you may just have to deal with it the best way you can.

That is a very good point Howardine, we carry a lot of germs on our hands and you just never know, karma for that reminder.
Everyone should have hand santizer on hand.
He wants your attention, to be the center of attention, that is why he makes the noises, why don't you try taking him out of his cage and sit with you, they tend to be quiet when they are near us like that.
You are probably right about the bird being safer in a house where the door is opened a lot and when you get your own apartment then you can allow the feathers to regrow and have a flighted bird.
I know your excitement and being a little nervous but you are doing your research and you have all of us to ask for help if you need it, you are going to do fine.
When I first saw that stand I thought they wouldn't be able to climb the legs but Josey climbs her toy hook on her playtop and when she is ready to come down off it she just slides down, it is so cute to watch, maybe Mocha and Koko will do the same thing with that contraption. I would cover the tops with rope but leave the rest.
