No wonder I didn't know what rolly papers are, I am nor have I ever been a smoker but Steve may be right, the paper itself may be ok for Alfie but that tobacco definately is not.

You are doing the right thing in taking Meggie to the avian vet where they can do pretty much a full workup, might cost you some money but she is worth it. She sounds like a great bird and I am glad you could give her a good forever home.

From what I have read of these types of paint you would need to have your birds away from the fumes until the paint dries then it is safe so what you plan on doing should be just fine.

My Josey has never flown except for when she first fledged around weaning time, she is chewing the feathers off on one side so she has not grown a full set since she was clipped right before I brought her home. I think I may have to change vets and get another opinion on it. She may not know how to fly when she does manage to grow a full set.

Now about your topic, have you researched on the net for the answer, why not call the manufacturers and find out directly if the paper in question is safe or not. Obviously none of us have used it for we find newspaper to provide the best solution for lining the cage trays.

Just where do you get your freezer paper from? I buy mine from a store like Walmart and it is more than 75 cents a roll, its more like 2 or 3 bucks, it is white in color.

You could always get a sun conure, mine is a lot of fun to have but she is a shoulder ornament, thats where she wants to stay when she is out of her cage. If I ever get another bird it will be something smaller than my grey.
