I have the hardcover also, I read it in a couple of days, a very good read but now that it has been reissued in paperback many more people can afford to get it to read, that is if they don't have access to a public library.
I am so sorry to hear of his injury but Julie is right, your vet is the one you should be asking for help in this situation, good luck and please keep us informed and I hope he is going to be ok.
So sorry to hear that Jess but yes your time is coming, you just have to wait a little longer for yours but it will be all the much sweeter when you do get your grey.
Hello Dimitri and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you, Zippo and Kenya.
You have two beautiful greys from the picture you shared with us, I can imagine they have provided plenty of companionship and you must have some stories to tell, maybe you can indulge us sometime with some of them.
I am so sorry it has come to this Spence, I know you hate to give her up but if you have exhausted all options so far then you do what you have to do. I hope someone here can give her a good home, I can't myself but maybe another member who lives close enough can give her what she needs.
Then my suggestion is to not run out Bernie, make sure you have some on hand at all times unless you want to deal with an aggressive Ben, she is a smart cookie.
I only have one suggestion for you, get some aloe vera jel and put that on her legs and feet, it won't hurt her if she ingests some but it might help the scaling.
Dave007 might have some other suggestions for you too.
Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some about you and Kenya.
Dave is right, you only get their beak trimmed if it is overgrown and only an avian vet would know that. Most greys do a very good job of keeping their beak in good shape.
Yeah it might take several tries before he accepts them as they tend to view anything new as evil, out to get them, glad they turned out well, only wished I could have tasted them, oh well out to the store to get my own. :cheer:
That is great to hear Cassandra and it just goes to show that with some determination and a little hard work a good relationship can be accomplished when it was thought to be impossible. We all know they pick their favorites but the others don't have to be left out.
Thanks for the update and maybe your post will be the push that others will heed and who knows how many other relationships will be helped by your advice.
I've never seen that particular toy before but it looks like it might be a hit but it seems a little pricey for what it is. If you get it for your fids let us know if it was accepted well.
We would love daily updates if its not too much trouble as I and probably some others would love to know how it is going with your baby, we kind of feel like we are helping you raise it, after all a few here have given you some lifesaving advice and will continue to do so, all you have to do is ask.
Yes this is exciting, its not every day you can watch greys tending their nest and the little ones hatching, congrats on the third baby, now just waiting on the fourth.
