Its still two months yet but I am going to see this one, maybe on the first day out, may have to take a day off work to go see a movie, this one will eventually belong to my blu ray collection as it is a must have, I think my grandkids will enjoy it too, will take them to see it but I will probably see it first by myself as I can't wait until I get the chance to get them together to go see it with them, me first!

I am so glad to hear Yoshi made it to your home safe and sound and I think she will blend in fine with your other fids as you seem to have done well so far with the ones you have, I can't wait to hear how she is doing today and would love to be a fly on the wall when she gets to meet the rest of the gang, keep us informed Robin and pictures too if you please.

If he enjoys it then why not continue, I have spoon fed my grey and conure oatmeal before, they loved it and it keeps them used to eating with a spoon which may come in handy one day when I may have to give meds for some reason, like Dan I don't think Greyson is reverting back to being a baby.

Some birds just do not like to talk with an audience around so they only talk when they think they are alone, we call them "closet" talkers, my grey talks with me in the room and hubby too but with most anyone else she doesn't, I guess she has to be more familiar with you before she will talk in front of you.

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend's too but yes avocado is on the list of toxic foods and it is so tragic she didn't know but that is the advantage of being on a bird forum for we pass that kind of information around in our threads but I do think that it is our responsibility as pet owners to know what not to feed our birds and the information is out there on the Net for all to see but please do tell her if she decides to get another bird and direct her to some bird forum, it doesn't have to be this one but it will be of help to get and share information with other like bird owners.

I sure do hope Kura is going to be just fine and you two get thru this quickly, it is keeping you on pins and needles worrying about her but this shall pass as she improves, like watching over a human child who is sick, I will keep you both in my thoughts and keep us informed Val.

Thats peaks volumes of how well Yoshi was socialized that she interacted with you like that, she is one lucky fid to go from one loving home to another and even though Jessica's heart is breaking right now she is comforted by the fact that she will be well taken care of and she will continue to be able to check on her progress by reading the posts that Robin makes on her life in her new home. I hope Robin and Yoshi have a safe and uneventful trip home and maybe she will share some pictures soon.

That is an interesting setup you have there and Tink obviously loves going along for the rides, you are right to caution just anyone to try this as it takes lots of time and much consideration in attempting this scenario with just any grey, it takes the right combination of owner and bird.

Thanks for the update on Timmy, you have come a long way from what you were dealing with when you first adopted him and I see things continuing to improve for you both, he just needed the love and attention you are giving him.

I have eaten raisins all my life, usually the Sun Maid brand and I am still alive and kicking at 60 but my fids do not get them very often, come to think of it don't think they care much for them, oh well that just leaves more for me to enjoy.

The cement perches are better for their feet and will help with keeping the talons filed down. I would advise if the cage came with a grate to use it so your bird does not get into the droppings in the bottom of the cage and that will keep the feet cleaner, you can put him into the sink with a couple of inches of water to bathe him.

Congrats Janet on being made mod of the Amazon room, I know you will do a good job in Jay's absence.

I have taken Josey to work occasionally and I take her along when I go visit my son who lives out of state, she rides in a travel cage and chatters and plays with her bell and rides very well. I think it is important to take your grey out and about from time to time so they don't associate the travel cage as only trips to the vet. I have no trouble putting her in the travel cage for she knows she is going somewhere with me.

Dave and Dan have given you some excellent advice, I think either one would be a wonderful addition as they are amazing creatures whether or not they end up talking, thats icing on the cake in my opinion.

Hello BigJon and welcome to our family, you have to give it more time for it takes a grey a good while to feel comfortable in their new surroundings so be patient. Lots of greys will prefer one sex over another and Romeo has chosen your wife as his favorite person but that doesn't mean you won't have a good relationship with him, it will just be a little different but right now I think you are forcing yourself on him and he doesn't like it and responds in the one way he has to get his point across. Be sure to read thru many of the threads here for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We would love to see some pictures of Romeo if you have some you could share with us.

I still have my fingers crossed that you get Mino back and I feel that he has been found and is being taken care of, maybe today will be the day you find who has him and get him back.

I have been watching this too and feel so helpless and they just had torrential rains not too long ago that caused devastating floods and now this, I hope and pray that everyone gets to higher ground and stays safe.

Raisins are of course made from grapes and the sugar in them is concentrated since most all of the water has been dried out of them, they are ok to feed but in moderation, the kind I buy has no preservatives on them at all.
