  1. Dan.. and what a flame war it was.. Holy cow.. I never saw stuff like that before in any forum I have ever been in.. and I have been in lots.. The shame of it was that there was a 14 year old girl that got caught up in all that junk. I know she is affected by it.. If someone needs to apologize to that 14 year old.. Let it be me.. I'm sorry Melissa.. and you know I mean that Kiddo... :(<br><br>Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/07/06 19:22

  13. Lidia.. Yeah well, I don't mean "have my way with him" quite like it sounds.. :P :P
  14. Talon wrote: I think it was a benefit.. I can't imagine the stress an older bird would go through being shipped.. It must be terrifying to them..
  15. Tari wrote: Wonderful research Tari.. I love it.. :P and more importantly.. others here will benefit from your research.. Bravo... Cd
  16. Well it looks like Ruddy is gonna be around us for a long time folks.. :P Welcome to the family Ruddy.. B) CD
  17. Lidia and Talon.. Believe me, I know I am gonna see changes. It would be foolish not to listen to you guys as both of you have older birds then Ceasar.. I'll understand when these changes happen and deal with them... Until then, I am just gonna have my way with him while I can...
  18. Welcome to the family by friend.. Just the fact that you are on a forum like this asking for help tells me that you are going in the right direction.. Your attitude is way more important that any logistics. Lidia does have a great point about you being so young and playing the "what if" game about your future.. But, there certainly are younger owners then you and I think once you get the Grey Parrot he or she will make you fall in love with them.. and that could decide what your future looks like better than anything else.. If you know what I mean here.. For me, and I am 48 years old... My life sometimes revolves around Ceasar.. When we go out, how long we stay out, when we go on vacation, how long a vacation.. It's this way because Ceasar is one of my kids.. It's just that simple.. and I think this might happen to you when you get your Grey. Good luck my friend.. 19. Lidia wrote: Hi Lidia.. Actually I have NEVER been bitten hard by Ceasar, and if you watched that 1 minute video I posted I do not baby him. Ceasar, from the time he was 20 weeks (when we got him) would grab your finger and push you away.. Never bite.. This was one of the main reasons I choose him.. Now if you contrast that against my Yellow Nape. WOW what a difference.. My Yellow Nape turned my hands into chop meat from the day we got him as a baby until the day I gave him away many many years later..<br><br>Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/07/06 13:49
  20. Punishment.. No, never.. only love.. love and more love.. and i think you know this anyway.. but in my case, I never punish Ceasar. But then again, I am blessed with such a well behaved bird I can't believe it.. I know it might not always be this way.. He is only 14 months old.. but I am enjoying him at this phase for sure...
  21. Richardsmommy wrote: Yes indeed Richardsmommy.. You are so so right.. and I hope we all take a breath when ever we reply. This is such an important point richardsmommy... One that needs to be taken seriously by EVERYONE here.. Remember, greys live long lives.. We could be with each other for a long time.. I like that..
  22. Kim.. Now that is one awesome signature line if I must say so myself... :P :P :P
  23. This is a wonderful post DayosMom.... It should get lots of replies.. Pinning of the eyes are also another sign you could pick up.. It varies from bird to bird as to what this means.. When my Yellow Naped Amazon did this you ran away from him as he was just ready to attack.. When ceasar does this he loves whatever you are doing.. feeding him.... saying to him... It's amazing how different these two parrots are..
  24. ..Yikes.. sorry about that Tari.. Yeah well ceasar is only 14 months old and I have been doing that to him since he was 2o weeks old..
  25. DayosMom wrote: Yes of course... that approach isn't for everyone.. :P
